Strengthening Grassroots Justice Through Capacity Development and Digital Innovation

DILG Laguna Cluster A and Municipality of Los Baños, together with the Lupong Tagapamayapa Presidents of Los Baños, convened for a Capacity Development Meeting in celebration of Lupon Week to discuss key community programs, updates on Lupon-related activities, upcoming initiatives, and collaborative efforts to strengthen barangay justice and peaceful dispute resolution. The activity featured the opening remarks of Cluster Head Maria Lorilyn V. Manrique, together with MLGOO Loida Vista of DILG Los Baños, highlighting the importance of continuous capacity development and strengthened local mechanisms for maintaining peace and harmony in communities.

The meeting also highlighted the electronic Katarungang Pambarangay (e-KP) System process, developed by DILG Laguna Cluster A in partnership with Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU)–Los Baños and Royal Cargo International, Philippines, discussed by Alexis Mari D. Prado, PhD of LSPU-Los Baños who served as resource speaker. This digital initiative aims to support the adequate and timely processing of documents for amicable dispute settlement through mediation, conciliation, and arbitration. Through continuous learning, collaboration, and digital innovation, stakeholders remain committed to promoting a more efficient, fair, and accessible justice system and building peaceful communities, one barangay at a time.

Ngayong Local Government Month, ating balikan kung paano nakatalaga sa bawat antas ng pamahalaang lokal ang paghahatid ng mga pangunahing serbisyo at pasilidad sa komunidad.
Sa ilalim ng Section 17 ng Republic Act No. 7160 o Local Government Code of 1991, nakatalaga ang iba’t ibang basic services and facilities sa Province, City/Municipality, at Barangay, alinsunod sa kanilang mga tungkulin at saklaw.
Kabilang dito ang mga serbisyong pangkalusugan, social welfare, agrikultura, imprastraktura, sanitation, at iba pang pangunahing serbisyo at pasilidad na tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng mga komunidad.
