ANNOUNCEMENT Erratum/Correction

Please be informed that the IRRI Gates at Pili Drive and the UPOU Gate will be CLOSED to vehicular traffic from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM this Sunday (October 26, 2025) due to an offical Fun Run activity inside the IRRI grounds.

We advise all motorists to take alternate routes and plan their travel accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please be informed that there will be a university-wide earthquake drill tomorrow, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

This activity aims to enhance our preparedness and safety during emergencies. Everyone on campus is encouraged to participate and follow instructions from the safety marshals.

Strengthening our campus response system 💪🏻

A coordination meeting was held to strengthen and improve incident response time, led by Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs with the representatives of UPLB Security and Safety Office, UPLB University Planning and Maintenance Office, UPLB Housing Office, UPLB University Health Service, and UPLB Media and Communication Office, ensuring timely and effective action on campus safety situations.

“Fireproofing Futures, Today”

A courtesy call and coordination meeting was conducted between the Bureau of Fire Protection Los Baños, led by their newly assigned Fire Marshal, FSINSP Renie M. Rombaoa, and the UPLB Security and Safety Office, headed by Director Asst. Prof. Percival Henry M. Balite.

The meeting aimed to further strengthen coordination and partnership in promoting fire safety and enhancing emergency preparedness within the UPLB campus. Discussions also covered areas of collaboration, capacity-building trainings, the possible utilization of UPLB fire hydrants as water sources for BFP fire trucks.
