Jesus tells us that even something as simple as offering a cup of cold water to one of the least of His followers is an act of love offered to Him. A cup of cold water suggests more than meeting a basic need—it implies that the giver made a small but intentional effort, choosing not to offer water straight from the faucet or container but something refreshing and thoughtfully prepared. The act itself may seem ordinary, but when it is done with love, it becomes extraordinary in God’s eyes. This reminds us that holiness is often found not in grand gestures but in the extra care, generosity, and love we invest in the smallest acts of service. May we never settle for doing only what is convenient, but always put forth that extra effort that transforms simple kindness into a true expression of Christ’s love. Happy Sunday
