MCIS Rondalla Ensemble performs in Maasin Cityhood Cultural Show

The Maria Clara Integrated School (MCIS) Rondalla Ensemble, together with Matin-aw NHS and Ibarra NHS, participated in the Cultural Show "Maasin Kini" held at the Maasin City Gymnasium last August 6, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 26th Cityhood Anniversary of Maasin City.

The learners underwent a 5-day summer camp sponsored by the City Government of Maasin and continued daily afternoon practices in preparation for the performance. Through consistent practice and dedication, the ensemble members worked to ensure proper ex*****on of folk and popular music using various musical instruments.

The ensemble members include Brandhyll Wayne Torres, Zian Xyriel Alaras and Kyla Dalo on bandurria; Arianna Maceda and Thea Marie Tulivas on violin; Mary Vella Orit, Sofia Dejesica and Tristan Jonraide Mori on guitar; and Chelsea Villaranda on ukulele.

The ensemble previously performed during the Regional ARAL Visit and participated in the preliminaries of the City Mayor's State of the City Address (SOCA).

Under the guidance of rondalla ensemble advisers Glydel C. Gumpay, Adrinor Niña D. Mancera and Nonito A. Deligero Jr. with technical assistance from Division Technical Assistance Provider and Musical Instructor Nathaniel Jarabe, the ensemble continues to prepare for future performances and further develop their musical abilities. #
