Today, June 3, 2026, the City Council for the Protection of Children (CCPC) and the ECCD Council convened for their Joint 2nd Quarter Meeting at Jade Hall.

As part of the meeting, the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Office presented its 2nd Quarter Accomplishment Report through Ms. Minerva A. Franada, LPT, Administrative Officer V. The presentation highlighted the programs, activities, and services implemented by the ECCD Office.

The presentation served as an opportunity to update council members on the accomplishments and continuing efforts of the ECCD program in promoting the welfare, protection, and development of children in the community.

Together, we remain committed to building a child-friendly city and ensuring that every child receives quality early childhood care and development services.

BAYANIHANG BULILIT 2026 continues!

The spirit of bayanihan though the BAYANIHANG BULILIT continues at the Child Development Centers of Dolores, Mawaque Resettlement Area 1, and Mawaque Resettlement Area 2 Sapang Biabas.

With the invaluable support of the Barangay Councils, parents, volunteers, and community members, clean-up and improvement activities are ongoing to help provide a safe, clean, and child-friendly learning environment for our young learners.

Thank you to everyone who continues to lend their time, effort, and resources. Your commitment and cooperation play a vital role in preparing our Child Development Centers for the opening of classes.

Together, we build better learning spaces for our Bulilit learners.

Today marks the official start of Bayanihang Bulilit/Brigada Eskwela 2026 in our 62 Child Development Centers. This activity will run until next week as we prepare our centers for the opening of classes.
We encourage all parents, Barangay Council members, SK officials, community volunteers, and stakeholders to participate in the scheduled activities in your respective Child Development Centers. Please check the schedule of your CDC so you can join and lend a helping hand.
Donations of cleaning materials, paint, paint brushes, brooms, dustpans, garbage bags, gardening tools, and other useful supplies are also greatly appreciated. Every contribution, big or small, helps create a cleaner, safer, and more child-friendly learning environment for our young learners.
Let us work together and keep the spirit of bayanihan alive for the benefit of our children.

The General Assembly of Child Development Workers and CDW Aides was successfully held today at C'Casitas Hotel and Resort 137 Rosal St. Barangay Virgen Delos Remedios Bamban, Tarlac.

The activity became a meaningful celebration of unity, teamwork, and appreciation for the hardworking CDWs and aides who continuously serve the children and families of the community.

One of the highlights of the event was the energetic Zumba Dance Contest, where participants showcased their teamwork, creativity, and lively spirit. Fun-filled parlor games also added excitement and enjoyment throughout the program.

The assembly also recognized the dedication and loyalty of Child Development Workers who have rendered 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of service in Early Childhood Care and Development.

Concurrent ECCD Officer, Mr. Charlo G. Costales, delivered his warm welcome message and expressed appreciation to all CDWs and aides for their commitment and invaluable service.

The ECCD family also extends its heartfelt gratitude to City Mayor Atty. Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino for making this event possible, and to City Vice Mayor Hon. Marcos Jun Castro Jr. for the venue and support extended to the activity.

In celebration of Child Development Workers Week, 62 Child Development Workers received their 1st Quarter Special Allowance amounting to โ‚ฑ9,000 each or โ‚ฑ3,000 per month today, May 25, 2026. Meanwhile, 35 CDW Aides received their One-Time Special Allowance amounting to โ‚ฑ3,000 each.

Loyalty Awards and cash incentives were also given to deserving CDWs who have rendered 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of dedicated service in Early Childhood Care and Development.

The activity was graced by City Mayor, Atty. Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino together with City Councilors Hon. Ike Morales, Hon. Benny Jocson, and Hon. Patricia Ann Acorda and Concurrent ECCD Officer, Mr Charlo G. Costales who led the distribution of allowances and incentives.

The City ECCD Office extends its heartfelt gratitude to all our CDWs and CDW Aides for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable service to the children and families of Mabalacat City.

A meaningful gesture for the young learners of Mabalacat City was recently extended by 1st District Board Member, Hon. Cherry Manalo, through the donation of childrenโ€™s books / story books to the City ECCD Program.
The donated reading materials aim to promote literacy, imagination, and a love for reading among children enrolled in the Child Development Centers.

These books will serve as valuable learning resources that will help enhance the childrenโ€™s learning experience and support their Early Childhood Development.
The City ECCD Office, through the Concurrent ECCD Officer, Mr Charlo G. Costaled gratefully received the said donation These books will be distributed to the different Child Development Centers (CDCs) in the city so that more young learners may benefit from them.
The ECCD office extends its sincerest appreciation to Hon. Cherry Manalo for her generosity, support, and commitment to nurturing young minds and strengthening Early Childhood Education in the community.

The continuous assessment of incoming Pre-K 1 and Pre-K 2 learners in the 62 Child Development Centers is now ongoing, conducted by the dedicated Child Development Workers (CDWs) using the ECCD Checklist.

This initiative aims to assess the developmental readiness of children across various developmental domains to better identify their strengths and needs. Through this process, appropriate learning interventions and support mechanisms can be provided to help every child achieve meaningful growth and development.

The ECCD Program remains committed to ensuring quality Early Childhood Care and Development by continuously monitoring and nurturing the holistic development of every young learner.

Today marks the successful completion of the Pest Control Treatment conducted in 62 Child Development Centers as part of the continuous effort to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for young children.

This initiative was made possible through the support and leadership of City Mayor, Atty. Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino and City Vice Mayor, Hon. Marcos Castro, whose commitment to Early Childhood Care and Development continues to strengthen programs that benefit the community.

On the last day of the activity, the pest control treatment was conducted at Macapagal Village CDC, Clark CDC, Haduan CDC, Monicayo CDC, and Marcos Village CDC. The activity aimed to ensure that the centers remain free from pests and harmful insects that may affect the health and well-being of both learners and Child Development Workers.

The ECCD Office headed by the concurrent ECCD Officer,Mr Charlo Costales, extends its sincere appreciation to all Barangay Officials, Child Development Workers, and partner agencies for their support and cooperation throughout the activity. Together, we continue to prioritize the safety and welfare of every child in our community.

The Local Government Unit of Mabalacat, through the ECCD Program, continues its commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy Child Development Centers through the ongoing pest control treatment activities. On the fourth day of implementation, pest control services were conducted in the following centers: Sta. Ines, Paralayunan, Bundagul, Sta. Maria Libutad, Madapdap III, Madapdap II, Madapdap I, Sapang B***n, Poblacion, Mangalit, San Joaquin, Northville16 and Atlu Bola.

This initiative aims to prevent pests and maintain sanitation in the centers, ensuring a healthier and safer environment for children, Child Development Workers, and staff. Certificates of proof of treatment were also distributed to each center as confirmation that the pest control services were properly conducted.

Through this initiative, the LGU of Mabalacat reaffirms its dedication to promoting child-friendly, clean, and secure learning spaces for every child in the community.
