IN PHOTOS || DA-BSWM Successfully Concludes the 3rd Batch of Capacity Enhancement on the Operation and Maintenance of Composting Facility for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW) FY 2023 Benecifiaries in Region III at the province of Zambales.

has successfully concluded its two-day training on the Capacity Enhancement for 19 CFBW beneficiaries from Bataan and Zambales, today, March 22, 2024.

Ms. Mayme Ong, Alternate Focal Person of OA Program of the OPAg Zambales and Mr. Alvin Brylle Concepcion, Alternate Focal Person of CPIT Region III graced the closing program on the last day of training.

The participants received certificates of participation recognizing their capacity to operate their respective units and start their journey in compost production technology.

The training program ran from March 21-22, 2024, at C&J Sunset View Resort, Botolan, Zambales.

The DA- BSWM through the CPIT-Region III conducted site validation on the Small-Scale Composting Facility (SSCF) for FY 2024 in the province of Zambales.

The activity was spearheaded by Mr. Alvin Brylle Concepcion (Altenate Focal Person of CPIT Region III), together with Ms. Jhosie Bagaoisan (Project Assistant IV), Ms. Joyce Rivero (Project Assistant III) and Mr. Neil Philip Sta. Rosa (Community Development Officer I). They visited the OIC- Provincial Agriculturist Mr. Crisostomo Rabaca to inform on the activity to be conducted in the province.

Ms. Mayme Ong, Alternate Focal Person of OA Program of the OPAg Zambales assisted the team in the conduct of site validation at the municipalities of Iba, Candelaria, San Marcelino, Botolan and San Felipe.

The initiatives undertaken by DA-BSWM for Region 3 beneficiaries involved the provision of the SSCF technology package which consists of a Biomass Shredder, Vermi-Tea Brewer, and African Night Crawler.
