In Maitum, Sarangani Province, a family's dream of securing a brighter future for their children became the foundation of 2CT Agrivet Supply, a growing agribusiness built through hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to family. The name was inspired by the family name ๐ฟ๐ช๐๐๐ฎ๐ก๐ช๐ฃ๐๐จ๐ค๐โโ๐๐๐ต๐ฎ,โ meaning ๐ต๐ธ๐ฐ, and โ๐๐๐ป๐ด๐๐ผ๐ฑ,โ meaning ๐ค๐ช๐ต๐บโwhich was translated into English to form the business name 2CT.
Although the business is a family venture, ๐๐ซ๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ฒ๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ก๐๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ plays a leading role in managing and growing their business. Like many parents, she and her husband dreamed of giving their children a good education. To help make that dream possible, they decided to start a business of their own.
With two children still in high school at the time, the couple realized that the income from their corn and coconut farm, combined with Mrs. Duhaylungsod's salary from the local government, would not be enough to support their children's future educational needs. In ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐, they took a leap of faith and invested their savings of โฑ๐๐๐,๐๐๐.๐๐ and rented a market stall in Maitum to start selling animal feeds and other agricultural supplies.
After more than a year of hard work and countless sacrifices, the family's efforts finally began to bear fruit. The income from the business eventually allowed them to purchase the stall they had once rented, a milestone that reminded them how far they had come from their humble beginnings. What started as a small venture born out of a parent's desire to provide for their children's future gradually grew into a trusted agrivet supply store serving farmers and livestock raisers in Maitum. With every sack sold and every customer served, the family moved one step closer to their dream of securing a better future for their children.

Mrs. Duhaylungsod participated in a ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฆ๐ด ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ณ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ฐ๐ด๐บ๐ฐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ช๐ค๐ฆ๐ด, where she learned about the various forms of government support available to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including financing opportunities through the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp).
In 2024, Mrs. Duhaylungsod first learned about the financing opportunities available to MSMEs when she was invited and decided to attend a Financing Opportunities Forum regularly conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Negosyo Center Maitum. Seeing an opportunity to grow their business, she sought the assistance of the Negosyo Center Business Counselor, who guided her through the loan application process. She successfully secured a โฑ๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ฌ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ.๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐น๐ผ๐ฎ๐ป from the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp), giving the business the additional capital it needed to expand its operations and support its continued growth.
The ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ค ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐

) brought another challenge to the Duhaylungsod family. As farmers and hog raisers struggled, demand for some of their products declined, affecting the business they had worked hard to build. At a time when uncertainty was high, the additional capital from the SBCorp financing program became a lifeline. It gave them the means to keep their shelves stocked, continue serving their customers, and sustain their livelihood while many were facing difficulties.
Today, 2CT Agrivet Supply continues to serve farmers and livestock raisers in Maitum by providing feeds and agricultural supplies that support their daily livelihoods. While rising commodity prices remain a challenge for both the business and its customers, the Duhaylungsod family remains committed to sustain and grow the enterprise they worked so hard to build.
Most importantly, the business has fulfilled the very purpose for which it was established: helping the family prepare for their children's education and build a more secure future.
