Day 2 of RCMMc’s visit to its sister club RCBSB in Brunei, the divers went to Oil Rig Reef 1 (3rd Dive) and Oil Rig Reef 2 (4th Dive) to cut some ghost nets.
Brunei is known for its vast oil and gas reserves and therefore is a hidden gem for wreck diving, featuring decommissioned oil rigs. These steel structures act as act as massive artificial reefs supporting vibrant marine ecosystems.
The boat ride is 30 minutes from the city and it was spectacular to be diving within those reef rigs.
A must dive destination for scuba divers with at least Advanced Open Water certification.
Dinner was hosted by the Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan and a plaque of appreciation was given by RCBSB to RCMMc.
Further, certificates of appreciation were given to the scuba diver volunteers.
