BRIGADA ESKWELA CLOSING
According to Helen Keller, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much" . This quotation illustrates how crucial collaboration is to the accomplishment of an objective. One of the programs that might help us develop and strengthen our amazing ties with one another is Brigada Eskuwela.
August 23, 2023 is the day of the closing and recognition of the Makati High School Brigada Eskuwela year 2023 project. Representatives from multiple organizations who provided helping hands and contributed to make the project successful were present during the time it took place in the MHS conference room.
In addition to this, at yesterday's closing and recognition program, members of the MHS-GSP members were welcomed and recognized. They received appreciation and gratitude for their sacrifices, devotion, and commitment to this program. All of the MHS-GSP were delighted of the award and the warm appreciation they had received at the ceremony yesterday. This has inspired them to work harder and be more reliable members of the team.
When completing such critical tasks and reaching significant objectives, teamwork is undoubtedly important. Brigada Eskuwela is definitely one of Makati High School's most fruitful accomplishments. Even though we held a closing and recognition program, it didn't mean the Brigada Eskuwela was over; rather, it marked the start of our incredible partnership and longstanding relation.

BRIGADA ESKWELA (5th Day)
The next academic year for public schools will begin on August 29th, 2023. About 15 days before the official commencement of the incoming school year, brigada eskuwela at Makati High School began. Brigada Eskuwela is used in order to make our schools ready for the start of the school year. It began on August 14 and had its 5th day today.
For today's brigada, the MHS-GSP performed a new wellness dance for our last brigada day. Following that, we all proceeded to the field wherein the Fire Department gave us a lecture on MHS RISE: Disaster Preparedness. They talked and demonstrated to us several aspects of fire triggers, including to the lesson is how to put out a fire using a fire extinguisher and a fire hose. We are all given seminar on how to do CPR on patients in addition to the significance of doing so. After that, we were given an acknowledgement and a certificate of participation in exchange for the effort and time we put in.
“Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan,” is a line from our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. For students like us to be called as the “hope of our motherland”, we need a place to serve as our source of education so that we can further develop our knowledge and creativity on how to make the world itself beautiful and that place is our school. For the benefit of each and everyone that is going to utilize it in coming years, the space that provides us with a high level of education must be clean, safe, and stable. Coordination is the key for us to accomplish this kind of goal, which MHS-GSP members along with all the attendees of the MHS brigada eskuwela, for the preparation of the future school year 2023–2024 observed, experienced, and felt.
The five-day period of brigada eskuwela can be challenging but also fulfilling. It is an awesome and lovely feeling to see the school and ourselves becoming better every single day. The MHS-Girl Scouts of the Philippines are extremely grateful to everyone who helped us from the very first day of the brigada eskuwela until the very last moment. The MHS-GSP members are thrilled to be around you and to once more have your unwavering support for the next brigada eskuwela.

BRIGADA ESKWELA (4th Day)
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much". This quote helped us to actively participate in the Brigada Eskwela Day 4. Working together as a team, we were able to accomplish so much more than we ever could have alone.
We started our day by helping Ma'am Michele Payumo in moving files from the heads room to the DRRM room. The files were equally distributed to every GSP member so that the task will be quick and easy. Later on, Sir Jun Saulon assigned us to paint blackboards in Makati High School Annex. We were divided into groups so that we can paint a lot of blackboards in that building. Some are assigned to paint the inside of the blackboard, while others are assigned to paint the outside of the blackboard. With that teamwork, we were able to paint a lot of blackboards.
The quote "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much" has served as our guiding light to successfully finish our tasks. It's amazing to see what we've worked together. This day has thought me that teamwork is the key to success. Together, we can achieve greatness.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 (3rd Day)
The school environment has a significant impact on students’ learning. So, if classrooms, school facilities, and school faculties are in bad condition, students’ learning could be negatively impacted. So that's why the DepEd conducted a yearly event called "Brigada Eskwela" or Schools Maintenance Week. A yearly event that aims to prepare the school facilities for the opening of classes.
Our GSP room is also one of the school's facilities, as Girl Scouts we are responsible for maintaining and cleaning that room.
We began cleaning our GSP room on August 16, 2023. We are divided into groups, some swept and mopped the floor, while others are tasked with moving furniture, organizing files, and separating items that will be used and those that will not be used. On that day, there were unexpected scenarios, such as the appearance of cockroaches, some of the reactions of the girl scouts are funny because they were scared but thankfully there are girl scouts that are brave enough to successfully remove the cockroaches.
After completing all the cleaning tasks, we paused briefly before reconvening to discuss the upcoming plans for MHS-GSP 2023-2024.
At the end of the day, it was a tiring but fun experience. We got the opportunity to earn badges for volunteering at this event. Thankfully, we were successful in cleaning our GSP room. Without our teamwork, we will not be able to clean our GSP room successfully. I've realized that for us to effectively maintain the school's facility, teamwork is essential.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 (2nd Day)
A place where we learn to expand our knowledge, a special place that offers us warmth and all types of experiences, a place that we can all refer to as "home" is our dearest Alma Matter; Makati High School.
The second day of Brigada Eskuwela was quite thrilling and enjoyable for all of us. Members of MHS-GSP contributed to the project's success by showing their full effort and support. In order to get the students, teachers, and other school facilitators hyped up for the program that day, GSP members did 2 (two) Zumba dances.
Members of the GSP attended a training session on various forms of first aid, how to carry it out, and what it means in terms of patient care; oral hygiene was also brought up and discussed.
The Brigada Eskuwela project's second day, which fell on August 15, 2023, was another success for everyone; their devotion, time, and effort weren't in vain. We, the MHS-GSP all hope that not just in Brigada Eskuwela day, but every time that every student and school facilitators was in school they would also cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school in favor of the welfare of the individuals that's going to use it in the near future.

𝖡𝖱𝖨𝖦𝖠𝖣𝖠 𝖤𝖲𝖪𝖶𝖤𝖫𝖠 2023 (1st Day)
The school as a second home, therefore the improvement of the institution for the benefit of all those individuals who will use it is their top priority. As a result, the “Brigada Eskwela” is held annually prior to the start of the school year.
The Brigada Eskuwela for the school year 2023-2024, officially began on August 14,2023 with the participation from all interested and volunteer students, among them the GSP organization. Every school corridor was patrolled by every GSP member, who also attended conferences, a seminar about Brigada Eskuwela, and records office organization tasks. To support the success of the school, every GSP member is committed to giving full effort in every task that was assigned to them.
In conclusion, I believe that Brigada Eskuwela's first day was a success. Every student, particularly the GSP members, gave their all on the first day in order to achieve one goal: to maintain the school sustainable for the betterment of everyone.
