UPDATED PROCEDURE GUIDELINES FOR LODGEMENT OF VISAS AND PNG PASSPORT AND RELATED TRAVEL DOCUMENT APPLICATIONS UNDER THE GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE

The Embassy of Papua New Guinea will implement update procedures for lodgment of visas and PNG Passport and related Travel Documents commencing 19 August 2020 under the General Community Quarantine.

The updated procedures should restore some normal business but will maintain minimal contact between staff and clients with strict compliance to measures promoting health and safety practices by all parties in light of the spread of covid-19.

Visa Applications
All applications for visas must be lodged online via e-mail [email protected]. Clients are expected to scan all the mandatory visa application requirements and send via the email. Upon receipt of the documents, Embassy staff will screen your application and advise of any missing or additional documents where applicable. If all documents are in order, an appointment will be scheduled during which you may be asked to bring some of the original documents.

Visa application requirements depends on the type of visa. This can be made available on request.

PNG Passport and Related Travel Documents
Applicants for PNG Passport and related travel documents must lodge the applications online via email [email protected]. The Embassy will communicate with applicants or their agents on the document requirements and schedule an appointment date and time.

Application for a new or renewal of PNG passport and related travel document require a fully completed application form, two passport size photos and a receipt of payment of K100 or equivalent in local currency. The Embassy may request for additional documents as needed.

Payment of Fees
All payments for visas, passport and related travel documents must be made online through www.ica.gov.pg or at the Embassy using the EFTPOS. Administration Fees must be paid in cash and receipted over the counter.

New Counter Service Schedule
The Embassy will continue to implement reduced counter service operating hours. The updated schedule is:

Tuesday - 10am-12pm
Thursday - 10am-12pm

Clients are requested to observe the updated schedule and seek for an appointment via email to obtain a time slot on the appointed date.

Commencing today, 4 August 2020, the Embassy will temporarily suspend its counter service to the general public due to the re-imposition of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) within Metro Manila from 4-18 August 2020.

Health Alert Notice

The Papua New Guinea Embassy in Manila wishes to advise the traveling public (PNG and foreign nationals) that due to a surge in covid-19 cases in Port Moresby, the PNG government imposed a 14 day lock-down in the city beginning 28 July 2020.

Consequently, there will not be any regular international inbound flights into PNG within the 14 day period unless approved by the Government

The Papua New Guinea Embassy in Manila will be closed tomorrow, 23 July 2020 due to a Public Holiday observed in PNG and at our overseas Mission abroad. Normal business will resume on Tuesday 28 July 2020.
