MANILA, Philippines (Update 2; 8:08 p.m.) — Several local government units (LGU) have suspended classes on Monday, November 18, due to Super Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-Yi).
As of 3:20 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said that Pepito had made landfall in the vicinity of Dipaculao, Aurora.

PAGASA placed the National Capital Region, which includes City of Taguig, under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to the potential threats of Tropical Storm Kristine, which may bring rain showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
The Storm Signal automatically suspends in-person classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as the Alternative Learning System (ALS) classes in both public and private schools in Taguig. Schools shall resort to alternative modes of learning in accordance with the policies of the Department of Education.
