Professor Ederson Delos Trino Tapia, a distinguished scholar with advanced degrees from the University of Malaya, UP Diliman, and the UP Asian Center, and professional experience as former Vice President for Planning and Research and Dean of the College of Governance and Public Policy, delivers his lecture as the 2024 Aquilino Pimentel Jr. Professorial Chair Awardee in Governance. Currently President of the Philippine Society for Public Administration and a member of the CHED Technical Panel, he reflects on the evolving nature of Public Administration—a young, practical, and multidisciplinary field—and outlines four key trends shaping it today: pedagogical shifts, epistemological pluralism, the Minnowbrook legacy, and regulatory realities.
