Trade and Investments Promotion Group

The Trade and Investments Promotion Group leads in the marketing efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry in increasing exports and direct investments through the implementation of promotional strategies directed at target markets.

As one of the seven functional groups that provide support to DTI, the TIPG manages (6) bureaus and 28 overseas trade and investments promotion centers, governed by these objectives:
a) Scale up selected globally competitive industries to become world market leaders;
b) Grow innovative and competitive MSMEs with strong brands that contribute significantly
to the national economy;
c) Undertake targeted and more aggressive investment and export promotion for priority
industries; and
d) Pursue strategic trade and investments using a market-driven and value chain business
development approach.
