The partnership was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 11, 2026, at the DTI-CIAP Philippine Overseas and Domestic Construction Board (PODCB) Office in Makati City.

The MOU provides a cooperative framework to support the growth and internationalization of the Construction, Architecture, and Engineering (CAE) industries. It seeks to expand opportunities for cross-border collaboration, capacity development, technology exchange, and digital transformation between the Philippines and the Middle East. Central to the partnership is the promotion of Philippine expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in engineering and construction across regional and global markets.

Furthermore, this partnership supports POCBโ€™s strategic campaign to promote the Philippine CAEDSO sector in the international arena. Through these efforts, it seeks to expand market access, facilitate high-value business engagements, and unlock greater opportunities for Filipino professionals and firms in the international arena.

For seven decades, D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) has shaped the Philippine landscape with a singular missionโ€”to build with purpose, precision, and heart. Known as the countryโ€™s โ€œ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‹๐š๐ง๐๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ,โ€ the company pioneered the use of advanced engineering technologies in Philippine construction, raising industry standards and proving what Filipino ingenuity can achieve.

DMCIโ€™s pursuit of excellence soon carried it beyond national borders. During the global construction boom of the 1970s and 1980s, the company earned an international reputation for delivering complex, world-class projects. Among its most notable overseas accomplishments are Bruneiโ€™s Istana Nurul Iman Palace, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei; key bridges along the Zalimโ€“Halban Highway in Saudi Arabia; the King Faisal Motorway in Kuwait; and Iraqโ€™s Kirkukโ€“Adhaim Irrigation Project, a vital water infrastructure system. DMCI also contributed to Dubaiโ€™s Monorail system, including the Atlantis, Village Center, and Trump Tower stations, as well as the fabrication of the monorailโ€™s precast guide beams. These projects did more than demonstrate DMCIโ€™s technical prowessโ€”they showcased the talent, discipline, and craftsmanship of Filipino builders on the world stage.

In the Philippines, the DMCI mark can be seen almost everywhereโ€”in cities, provinces, and regions across the Philippinesโ€”in the form of industrial plants, skyscrapers, tollways, bridges, and essential infrastructure that keeps the country moving forward. The companyโ€™s legacy includes some of the nation's most iconic structures: the UP Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in Diliman; the old Rizal Theater, now the site of Makati Shangri-La; the Folk Arts Theater (now Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas); the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway; the Cultural Center of the Philippines; the Philippine International Convention Center; The Manila Hotel; Solaire Casino & Hotel; Shangri-La Boracay; Rockwell Towers; NAIA Expressway; Skyway Stage 3; and a long list of expressways, bridges, buildings, water and waste water treatment plants, power plants and civic landmarks.

DMCIโ€™s strength as a builder is matched by its commitment to environmental stewardship, safety, good governance, and sustainability. It is the first construction company in the Philippines to earn a Quadruple A contractor accreditation, reflecting its consistency in delivering quality projects that meet stringent government standards.

This commitment reaches the global stage as well. As Chair of the Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB), Engr. Isidro A. Consunji, Chairman of DMCI, has been instrumental in promoting Philippine construction expertise abroad. Through international missions, capability-building programs, scholarships, professorial chairs, and facility upgrades, DMCI continues to prepare the next generation of Filipino engineers, ensuring that the nationโ€™s excellence in construction resonates around the world.

After more than 70 years, one principle remains unchanged: DMCI builds to serve.

From landmark structures to life-changing infrastructure, the company continues to be a trusted partner in shaping progress across the Philippinesโ€”and beyond.
