𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 — The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐏𝐎𝐂𝐁) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing international partnership in 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐂𝐀𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐎) through the establishment of a strategic collaboration with 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. (𝐃𝐄𝐏). The partnership was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 11, 2026, at the DTI-CIAP Philippine Overseas and Domestic Construction Board (PODCB) Office in Makati City.

The MOU provides a cooperative framework to support the growth and internationalization of the Construction, Architecture, and Engineering (CAE) industries. It seeks to expand opportunities for cross-border collaboration, capacity development, technology exchange, and digital transformation between the Philippines and the Middle East. Central to the partnership is the promotion of Philippine expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in engineering and construction across regional and global markets.

Furthermore, this partnership supports POCB’s strategic campaign to promote the Philippine CAEDSO sector in the international arena. Through these efforts, it seeks to expand market access, facilitate high-value business engagements, and unlock greater opportunities for Filipino professionals and firms in the international arena.

In her welcome address, 𝐏𝐎𝐃𝐂𝐁 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐨 highlighted the initiative as a milestone in strengthening international cooperation for the Philippine CAE sectors. She thanked DEP and 𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐑𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐝𝐡, led by 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡é 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐓. 𝐋𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠, for their strong support, emphasizing that shared commitment and excellence are key to sustaining collaboration and achieving their common vision.

𝐃𝐄𝐏 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐠 also expressed gratitude to POCB and PTIC Riyadh, reaffirming DEP’s commitment to advancing the construction industry in the Philippines, the Middle East, and beyond.

The Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB) of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), proudly wrapped up its second business mission to the Middle East, held from 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, in 𝗥𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗱𝗵, 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮. Building on the accomplishments of the inaugural mission to the region in 2024, this follow-up mission further solidified the Philippines’ role as a strategic partner in advancing infrastructure development and sustainable growth across the Middle East.

The Philippine delegation was composed of leading Filipino CAE companies, including 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰., 𝗔𝗹 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼., 𝗟𝘁𝗱. (𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗖), 𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗔 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, and 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, together with professional organizations, namely, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗤𝗦), 𝗜𝗻𝗰. and the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗨𝗔𝗣). With the support of the 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 and the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗖) 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗱𝗵, delegates engaged in pre-arranged Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings and high-level networking receptions with Saudi Arabia’s top contractors and developers during the Mission, exploring strategic opportunities aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 agenda. They likewise participated in benchmarking visits to giga and mega projects under the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

One of the highlights of the mission was the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀’ 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the world’s largest real estate and construction event. The Philippine Booth featured the country as a bold, game-changing player in the global construction landscape, showcasing its strong value proposition in CAE and services outsourcing. It also highlighted the delegation’s cost-efficient, high-quality, and sustainable solutions tailored to the demands of the international market.

The POCB continues to strengthen its strategic engagements in priority markets to position the Philippines as a key partner in global CAE services.
