On May 28, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA participated in the Capacity Development on Responsible Seafood Sourcing (RSS), gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) , cm Food Safety Management System held in Mogpog, Marinduque.

In his inspirational message, Assistant Regional Director Rodolfo Mariposque underscored the importance of promoting RSS practices and food safety management systems, and advancing GEDSI initiatives to help the seafood value chain in Mogpog.

The Regional Monitoring and Enforcement Team (RMET) of the Department of Trade and Industry-MIMAROPA conducted province-wide monitoring and enforcement activities in Marinduque from May 18–21, 2026.

The deployed RMET monitored products under the Bureau of Philippine Standards' mandatory certification scheme in 64 establishments across the province. After the three-day activity, no firms were issued notices of violation, indicating full compliance of the monitored establishments with the set standards and regulatory requirements.

The Department of Trade and Industry MIMAROPA welcomes the second batch of mentees for this year’s Kapatid Mentor ME-MME Online Program on May 26, 2026.

A total of 48 enterprises are set to participate in the 10-week program, which features module sessions and intensive mentorship covering digitalization, marketing, financial management, operations management, and other key areas to help grow their businesses.

Congratulations to Uncle Roy Processed Food Manufacturing for the recently approved Food and Drug Administration - License-To-Operate (FDA-LTO).

FDA-LTO is an authorization issued by the FDA to an establishment to grant permission to undertake a trade or carry out a business activity, such as manufacturing, importation, exportation, sale, offering for sale, distribution, or transfer of food products.
