On the afternoon of 4 June 2026, His Excellency Sin Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, accompanied by Mrs. Heng Pisey, Second Secretary, received a courtesy call from a delegation of Mariano Marcos State University led by Dr. Mee Jay A. Domingo, Vice President for Planning and Strategic Foresight, at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Manila.

Both sides exchanged views on strengthening educational cooperation between Cambodia and the Philippines, focusing on expanding scholarship opportunities for Cambodian students, enhancing institutional linkages, and promoting joint academic. They also discussed potential partnerships between Mariano Marcos State University and Cambodian universities.

On the morning of 3 June 2026, His Excellency SIN Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, accompanied by Mrs. HENG Pisey, Second Secretary, held a bilateral meeting with LTGEN RAUL L. DEL ROSARIO AFP (Ret.), Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

The meeting focused primarily on expanding direct air services between the two countries, including through Air Cambodia, in line with the Air Services MOU signed in September 2025. At present, Philippine Airlines is the only carrier operating direct flights between the two countries.

On 18 May 2026, His Excellency SIN Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, attended and delivered remarks at the ASEAN Science Diplomats Assembly (ASDA) 10th Founding Anniversary, held under the theme “A Decade of Science Diplomacy: Bridging Divides, Inspiring Lives.”

The event, organized by the Philippines in line with the ASEAN Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (APASTI 2026–2035), aimed to strengthen regional cooperation and partnerships in science diplomacy, innovation, and sustainable development, while promoting practical collaboration among ASEAN Member States in addressing key regional and global challenges, including climate change, health security, food systems, and technological disruption, through cooperation in science and technology.

The event was attended by Hon. Renato Solidum Jr., Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST); Usec. Leah Buendia, Undersecretary of DOST; Mr. Dominic Xavier Imperial, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of ASEAN Affairs; Sci. Dpl. Glenn Banaguas, Chairman and President of the ASDA; together with ambassadors and representatives of ASEAN Member States, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of the Philippines, and ASEAN Science Diplomats from ASEAN Member States.

His Excellency SIN Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, together with the officials and staff of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Manila, successfully facilitated and coordinated the participation of the Cambodian delegation, led by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in the 48th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings, held from 7 to 8 May 2026 in Cebu, Philippines.

On 29 April 2026, H.E. Sin Saream, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Philippines, delivered a lecture at the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines. His presentation provided a comprehensive overview of Cambodia–Philippines relations, emphasizing their long-standing and robust partnership anchored on three key pillars: political and security cooperation, economic cooperation, and socio-cultural cooperation.

He highlighted the steady expansion of bilateral engagement across these areas, underscoring their continued progress despite evolving regional and global challenges.

The event was attended by Mr. Neil Frank R. Ferrer, Director General of the Foreign Service Institute; H.E. Massimo Santoro, Ambassador of the European Union to the Philippines; H.E. Stephen Pokanis, Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to the Philippines; Mr. Soe Ko Ko, Chargé d’Affaires of Myanmar; Mr. Adeshina Edward Oloje, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Nigeria; Ms. Daniela Gil Sevilla, Deputy Head of Mission of Mexico; Ambassador Rosario G. Manalo, Dean of the HZB School of International Relations and Diplomacy; and Mr. Francisco Javier López Tapia, Director of Instituto Cervantes, together with members of the diplomatic corps, government representatives, officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, and participants from academe and higher education institutions.

On the evening of 19 April 2026,​ His Excellency Sin Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, attended the ASEAN–Korea Music Festival: ROUND in the Philippines, held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The festival, hosted by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in partnership with KBS World TV and supported by the ASEAN–Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), coincided with the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship. It served as a significant platform for cultural exchange, showcasing ASEAN–Korea artistic collaboration and strengthening people-to-people connectivity among participating countries.

The Cambodian delegation comprised approximately 45 participants, including prominent independent artists, notably G-Devith and Tep Boprek, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, the Royal University of Fine Arts, and the Secondary School of Fine Arts, who contributed to the cultural performances.

On the morning of 16 April 2026, His Excellency SIN Saream, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Philippines, accompanied His Excellency Kitti Settha Pandita Cham Prasidh, Special Envoy of the Royal Government of Cambodia for ASEAN, to a meeting with Her Excellency Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines. On the same day, His Excellency Ambassador, together with the Embassy’s officials, welcomed and sent off the Cambodian delegation led by His Excellency Kitti Setha Pandita at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
