In celebration of the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Netherlands and the Dutch Kingโs Day, the Netherlands Embassy in Manila organized the Kingโs Day Forum on 26 May 2026 focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
The embassy, headed by Ambassador Marielle Geraedts, invited the Philippine Reclamation Authority to participate under the environmental pillar and present its environmental policies, programs, and activities.
Atty. Joseph John M. Literal, Assistant General Manager for Reclamation and Regulation, led the PRA contingent. He likewise presented opportunities for collaboration on undertakings that promote sustainability and circular economy like waste-to-energy projects, water treatment, and nature-based solutions. The topic was deepened through a fireside chat with Haskoning Philippines President and Chairman Trevor Morrish-Hale.
After the fireside sessions, Atty. Literal and other PRA attendees composed of Ms. Ynna Margarita G. Yalong-Gelomina, Engr. Mark John D. Pineda, and Engr. Ivy Camille A. Lucero-Palatino participated in formulating recommendations on Integrating ESG Standards in Water Infrastructure in the Philippines.
Before the forum ended, the PRA took part in committing to the PH-NL Sustainable Water Infrastructure Network.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) joins the nation in observing Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month this May 2026 in support of continuing efforts to improve government service delivery under Republic Act No. 11032, otherwise known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 818, s. 2025, which declares the month of May of every year as National Ease of Doing Business Month, the observance serves as a platform to highlight government initiatives on regulatory reform, reduced transaction costs, and improved customer experience.
In line with the objectives of EODB, PRA continues to strengthen transparency and efficiency in the delivery of its services through the publication and regular updating of its Citizenโs Charter, service standards, processing timelines, and applicable fees. PRA also makes available various client assistance and accountability mechanisms through its official communication channels including its feedback and complaint mechanism, to ensure that stakeholders have accessible avenues for inquiries, requests, and concerns.
These efforts support PRAโs mandate in reclamation regulation, public estates development and management, and infrastructure-related services by helping clients and stakeholders better understand documentary requirements, procedures, fees, and expected processing times.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), in partnership with the DENR-EMB CALABARZON, officially expands its Adopt-A-Waterbody (AAW) Program through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement covering a one-kilometer portion of the Tanza Coastal Area in Brgy. Capipisa, Tanza, Cavite.
Present during the official signing ceremony were PRA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Engr. Cesar S. Siador, Jr., DENR-EMB CALABARZON Regional Director Robert Angelo M. Metin, Director Engr. Eligio T. Ildefonso, and Assistant General Manager for the Reclamation and Regulation Office Atty. Joseph John M. Literal.
Through its San Nicolas Shoal Seabed Quarry Project Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program, the initiative aims to strengthen coastal protection, marine conservation, and waterway rehabilitation efforts in the province of Cavite while promoting active community participation and environmental stewardship.
The undertaking further reinforces the continuing partnership between PRA, DENR, and local government units in safeguarding and preserving the countryโs vital coastal and water ecosystems for future generations.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) met with the Honorable Mayor Richie Jason David of Limay, Bataan, to discuss reclamation initiatives focused on public use and sustainable coastal development within the municipality.
The discussion highlighted waterfront development that created open spaces and public areas that benefit the community, including parks, wellness and fitness areas, sports and recreational facilities, and educational spaces that are accessible and free for public use.
The meeting likewise underscored the presence of Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative of President Bongbong Marcos at the reclaimed land. The Kadiwa store currently provides accessible and affordable goods supporting local producers and communities.
The PRA and the LGU emphasized the importance of proper coordination and partnership between national and local governments to ensure that reclamation projects are aligned with environmental sustainability and development objectives of the government.

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), led by Atty. Joselito D. Gonzales, Assistant General Manager for Land Development, Construction Management, and Technical Services, convened with representatives from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), headed by Ramon G. Reyes, Undersecretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure, and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) represented by its OIC Executive Director, Atty. Sherwin D. Vizconde. The meeting was primarily for the implementation of the Bay City Loop Project.
Discussions focused on advancing a sustainable public transport solution to improve mobility and accessibility for the commuting public within the reclaimed areas of Pasay and Paraรฑaque. The meeting likewise served as an alignment of plans and strategies between PRA and DOTr to ensure harmonized and complementary approaches toward efficient and commuter-centered transport systems.
