The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte, through the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC)–Iligan, conducted a press briefing and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Lanao del Norte on October 1, 2026, as part of the celebration of Consumer Welfare Month (CWM) 2026.

The MOA was signed by DTI Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Jane Marie L. Tabucan and TESDA Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Norah A. Acas, JD, with Iligan City Government Chief of Staff Jules Verne Padilla serving as witness to the signing.

The partnership underscores the agencies’ shared commitment to promoting safe products, competent services, and confident consumers by improving access to skills training, competency assessment, certification, scholarships, and enterprise-based workforce development.

A key focus of the agreement is supporting Service and Repair Enterprises (SREs) by helping ensure the availability of competent, National Certificate (NC) II-certified mechanics and technicians. Relevant national certifications form part of the requirements for DTI shop accreditation, helping service providers strengthen their technical capabilities and meet accreditation standards.

Through this collaboration, DTI and TESDA aim to help equip repair enterprises with qualified technical personnel, improve the quality and reliability of repair services, and promote the safe handling of products brought in for repair—reinforcing consumer protection through skills development and industry partnership.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental Provincial Office officially launched the ₱2.408-million Shared Service Facility (SSF) Coconut Cooking Oil Facility in Tangub City, benefiting the Misamis Occidental Coconut Farmers and Processors Association (MOCOFPA).

The facility is set to strengthen local coconut processing by increasing production capacity, promoting value-added coconut products, and creating sustainable livelihood and economic opportunities for coconut farmers in the province.

Through the SSF program, DTI continues to support MSMEs and farmer organizations by providing access to appropriate technology, equipment, and shared production facilities that can help enhance productivity and competitiveness.

ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA — Nueva Vizcaya’s products reached a wider audience as “NVyond Borders: Pampanga – A Lako ti Vizcayano Trade Fair” generated ₱4,026,658.00 in sales and assisted 41 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) during its six-day run at the Activity Center of Ayala Malls MarQuee from September 21 to 26, 2026.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office, in partnership with the Naturally Vibrant MSME Gawang Vizcayano Association, Office of Congressman Atty. Timothy Joseph E. Cayton, Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, DTI Region 3, DTI Pampanga, and Ayala Malls MarQuee, the trade fair carried the theme “Celebrating Authentic Crafts, Creating Lasting Connections.”

The trade fair featured a diverse lineup of Novo Vizcayano products namely: coffee, cacao, coconut products, processed food, wines, furniture, woodcraft, wearables, agricultural products, and other locally made goods.

Beyond sales, NVyond Borders opened doors for MSMEs to engage with potential institutional buyers and business partners such as Ody Franco Tuano, Ling Food Products Corp., Media Group, Theya Enterprises, and Lighthouse Cooperative. These linkages created opportunities for supply arrangements, partnerships, and expanded market reach.

The six-day event also celebrated the province’s culture and creativity through special activities:

• CO-CA-NUT Special Event – highlighted coffee, cacao, and coconut as key commodities and sources of innovative products
• Craft Demo – showcased the skills and craftsmanship behind Nueva Vizcaya’s handmade products
• Flavors of Nueva Vizcaya – offered free tastings of selected local food products to mallgoers

Visitors also discovered unique coffee blends from Novo Vizcayano entrepreneurs, featuring flavors like citrus, ginger, honey lemon, and katmon. The fair was further energized by a performance from the Marian Dance Troupe of Saint Mary’s University, which brought the official NVyond Borders theme song to life.

These activities reinforced the fair’s core purpose: not only to sell products, but to tell the stories behind them and create meaningful connections between Novo Vizcayano MSMEs and new markets.

With over ₱4 million in sales, 41 MSMEs assisted, and new business linkages established, NVyond Borders showed that bringing Gawang Vizcayano beyond provincial borders is possible, and it fulfilled its promise to celebrate authentic crafts and create lasting connections.

Zampex 2026 opens doors to 142 Zamboanga Peninsula MSMEs

The 12th Zamboanga Peninsula Exposition (ZAMPEX) 2026 officially opens on October 07, 2026 at the 5th floor convention center, KCC Mall de Zamboanga, Zamboanga City, showcasing 142 micros, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across the region, 50 of which are under the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Program (CFIDP), providing them the avenue to promote their products and reach wider markets.

The opening program led by DTI Regional Operations Group Assistant Secretary Leonila T. Baluyut, DBA, together with DTI Region 9 Regional Director Al-Zamir I. Lipae, alongside DTI officials, partners, and industry stakeholders. The event forms part of the Department of Trade and Industry’s continuing efforts to strengthen market access and promote the products, innovations, and entrepreneurial talents of the country.

Running until October 11, 2026, the ZAMPEX 2026 serves as a platform for MSMEs to connect with broader markets, potential buyers, government partners, and investment opportunities. Featured products include Shared Service Facility (SSF)-assisted goods, coconut-based products, Rural Agro-Enterprise partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID Growth) beneficiaries, and innovative prototypes developed through Fabrication Laboratories (FABLABs), highlighting the region's commitment to innovation, value addition, technology adoption, and MSME competitiveness.

In addition to showcasing regional products, ZAMPEX 2026 also features B2B matching activities and LGU showcases that connect enterprises to markets, partners, and new opportunities, creating pathways for inclusive sustainable growth while bring the best of what the region can offer.
