TAGUIG CITY | 01 October 2026 — The 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn) participated in the Mass Evacuation and Collapsed Structure Scenario during the Interagency Exercise (IAX) “Pagsasanay Sanlakas” 02-2026, reinforcing the importance of interagency coordination, emergency response, and operational preparedness.

The exercise aimed to enhance the participating personnel’s capabilities in mass evacuation, collapsed-structure response, and coordinated disaster response operations through practical and scenario-based training.

The successful conduct of the activity further strengthened the Battalion’s commitment to maintaining readiness and enhancing its capabilities in support of disaster response and other emergency situations.

TAGUIG CITY | 26 September 2026 — The 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn) successfully concluded the Advanced Pistol Marksmanship Training CL 01-2026, highlighting the importance of proficiency, discipline, and readiness among its personnel.

The training provided participants with opportunities to further develop their marksmanship skills, reinforce proper fi****ms safety and handling, and enhance their confidence and discipline during training activities. Through focused instruction and practical application, the participants strengthened their ability to perform effectively under demanding conditions.

The closing ceremony, presided over by LTCOL VINCE EDWARD C SALMINGO PN(M)(GSC), Commanding Officer, 3rd Marine R***e Battalion, marked the successful completion of the training and recognized the dedication and commitment of the participants toward maintaining the high standards of professionalism and operational readiness of the 3MRBn.

The 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn) actively participated in the three-day workshop and seminar conducted in partnership with Pamilya Muna Pilipinas, Inc. (PMPI), headed by Dra. Mary Grace Sumbillo, Executive Director of PMPI. The activity, entitled “Strong Family, Strong Soldier, Strong Armed Forces” (7Fs Work-Life Alignment Program), was held at the SNCO Clubhouse, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The program aimed to strengthen family relationships, promote work-life balance, and enhance the overall well-being of soldiers and their families. Through a series of lectures, discussions, and interactive activities, participants gained valuable insights on fostering strong family values as a foundation for building resilient soldiers and a stronger Armed Forces.

TAGUIG CITY | On 22 September 2026, the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn), under the Philippine Marine Ready Force–National Capital Region (PMRF-NCR), participated in Husay Marino 2.0, showcasing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of its personnel in the Modern Warfare, Tagisan ng Talino, and Himig Marino competitions.

Demonstrating excellence, teamwork, and dedication, the PMRF-NCR Team secured Overall 1st Runner-Up in Modern Warfare, along with the following achievements: Champion in Aerial Drone Target Precision and Aerial Drone Racing; 1st Runner-Up in ARMA 3; and 2nd Runner-Up in Littoral Command and Ground Drone Racing.

These accomplishments reflect the personnel’s commitment to developing their technical proficiency, operational readiness, and competitive spirit, embodying the values of the Philippine Marine Corps.

Honoring A Legacy of Leadership: Fellowship with the
Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps

ACERO HALL | On 21 September 2026, the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn), under the Philippine Marine Ready Force-NCR, together with its OPCON units, participated in a fellowship with MGEN VICENTE MAP BLANCO III PN(M), Commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, at Acero Hall, Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to honor the Commandant as he approaches retirement, inclueded a Talk to Troops session where he shared valuable insights, guidance, and words of encouragement with the Marines.

The activity also incorporated a boodle fight, providing an opportunity for the Commandant and the personnel to share a meal, strengthen camaraderie, and foster a deeper sense of brotherhood among the ranks. Through this fellowship, the Marines expressed their appreciation for the Commandant’s leadership and dedicated service while reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, professionalism, and mission readiness that continue to define the Philippine Marine Corps.

NAVOTAS CITY | On 19 September 2026, the 33MC of the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn), together with others partner organizations, volunteers, and community members, took part in the International Coastal Cleanup along the shoreline of Navotas City. The activity sought to raise environmental awareness, promote proper waste disposal, and support efforts to protect the city’s coastal and marine environment.

The activity gathered Marines and civilian volunteers in a shared effort to collect and properly manage waste and debris found along the shoreline. Their participation highlighted the importance of keeping coastal areas clean while encouraging individuals and organizations to take an active role in environmental protection and responsible waste management.

More than just a cleanup effort, the activity provided an avenue to strengthen cooperation among the 3MRBn, partner stakeholders, and the local community. The collective participation demonstrated the value of teamwork and community involvement in addressing environmental concerns and promoting greater awareness of the need to care for coastal resources.

Through its participation, the 3MRBn reaffirmed its commitment to community service, environmental protection, and civil-military cooperation. MANILA BAY | On 19 September 2026, the 33MC of the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion with other partner organizations, volunteers, and members of the community, actively participated in a coastal cleanup activity along the shoreline of Manila Bay. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, encourage responsible waste management, and contribute to the preservation of coastal and marine ecosystems.

The activity brought together Marines and civilian volunteers in a collective effort to remove various waste materials and debris along the shoreline. The cleanup emphasized the importance of maintaining clean coastal areas and highlighted the role of every individual in the community and organization in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices within the community.

Beyond the physical cleanup, the activity served as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the 3MRBn, partner stakeholders, and the civilian community. Through unity of effort and active participation, the initiative fostered greater environmental consciousness and reinforced the value of community involvement in addressing concerns affecting coastal areas.

On 08 September 2026, the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion proudly hosted the Joint Closing Ceremony of Squad Designated Marksmanship Training Class 01 2026 and Advanced Pistol Marksmanship Training Class 01 2026, a significant milestone in the battalion’s continuing pursuit of combat excellence. The event brought together Marines who had undergone weeks of rigorous training, honing their precision, discipline, and tactical proficiency in both long range squad marksmanship and close quarters pistol engagements. Their successful completion of these demanding courses reflected not only individual skill but also the collective strength and readiness of the unit.

The ceremony was presided by LTCOL JONATHAN M. PANGANIBAN PN(M)(GSC), Executive Officer of the 3rd Marine R***e Battalion, whose presence underscored the importance of the occasion. In his address, LTCOL PANGANIBAN PN(M)(GSC) commended the Marines for their perseverance, resilience, and unwavering commitment to mastering the art of marksmanship. He emphasized that these sharpened skills are vital in modern combat, where accuracy and judgment can decisively influence mission success. Certificates of completion and awards were presented to outstanding performers, symbolizing both recognition of achievement and the responsibility to uphold the highest standards of the Philippine Marine Corps.

The ceremony was more than a conclusion—it was a reaffirmation of the battalion’s ethos of honor, courage, and commitment.
