๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ | On 02 June 2026, the personnel of 3MRBn actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 held at Villamor Air Base Elementary School, demonstrating their commitment to community service and support for the education sector. The activity brought together military personnel, school officials, teachers, and parents in preparing school facilities for the upcoming academic year. Through collective volunteer work, the participants assisted in cleaning classrooms, repairing school facilities, and improving the overall learning environment. The activity strengthened the partnership between the military, school teachers, and the local community while promoting the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility in providing a safe and conducive environment for students.

COMMANDER, PHILIPPINE MARINE READY FORCE โ NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION VISITS THE 3RD MARINE RIFLE BATTALION
TAGUIG CITY| On May 29, 2026, the Commander of the Philippine Marine Ready ForceโNational Capital Region (PMRF-NCR), COL JOSE MARIE T SANTOS PN(M) (MNSA), conducted an official visit to the Headquarters, 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion (3MRBn) at Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown (MBRB), Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by the officers and enlisted personnel of the battalion.
During the visit, the Commander was briefed on the battalionโs current operational status, key accomplishments, and ongoing initiatives. The engagement provided an opportunity to discuss priorities and guidance aimed at enhancing operational readiness, mission effectiveness, and organizational development, while reaffirming the unitโs commitment to supporting the Philippine Marine Corpsโ mandate and serving the nation.

CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY | 33rd Marine Company
22 May 2026 | The Headquarters, 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion, under the leadership of LTCOL RAMIL L ANGCAP PN(M), successfully conducted the Change of Command Ceremony of the 33rd Marine Company โ a time-honored military tradition symbolizing the formal transfer of authority, responsibility, and leadership within the unit.
During the ceremony, 1LT GLYN ELINOR B MARAPAO PN(M) formally relinquished her duties and responsibilities as Company Commander to 1LT PRECIOUS ANNE M VERGARA PN(M), who officially assumed leadership of the 33rd Marine Company. The activity reflected the unitโs steadfast commitment to honor, discipline, professionalism, and continuity of leadership in accomplishing its mission.
As part of the ceremony, Plaque and Kampilan were awarded to the outgoing officer in recognition of her exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and invaluable contributions to the company prior to her relief from post for further career advancement.
More than a ceremonial tradition, the activity strengthened the morale, unity, and esprit de corps among both officers and enlisted personnel โ reaffirming the battalionโs enduring commitment to mission readiness, leadership excellence, and service to the nation.

๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ก | In line with Exercise Balikatan 41-2026, the Philippine Marine Corps conducted a joint amphibious operation with the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force at Cagayan. The activity was led by the 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion under the 4th Marine Brigade, with support from the 10th Marine Rifle Battalion and 8th Marine Rifle Battalion, 66th Force Reconnaissance Company, Combat Engineer Battalion, Philippine Air Force Combat Air Controllers, and participating naval platforms.
The activity reinforced interoperability between allied forces while enhancing coordination across air, land, and sea domains. It also strengthened operational readiness and underscored the shared commitment of participating units to uphold national defense and regional security under the spirit of โShoulder-to-Shoulderโ cooperation.

๐๐๐๐ | The Philippine Marine Corps, led by Commandant Maj Gen Vicente M.A.P. Blanco III PN(M), inaugurated Military Park Umiray and unveiled the Commemorative Marker of the First Amphibious Landing in Brgy. Umiray, General Nakar, Quezon on April 19, 2026. The activity is part of the Corpsโ 75th Marine Birthday, honoring its legacy of Karangalan, Katungkulan, at Kabayanihan.
The ceremony featured guest speakers including LtGen Edgardo V. Espinosa AFP (Ret) and 2nd Lt. Jose P. Dagdagan PN(M) (Ret), who shared reflections on Marine heritage and the significance of the historic landing site. It was attended by unit commanders, including LtCol Ramil L. Angcap PN(M), Commanding Officer, 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion, Marine leaders, veterans, local officials, stakeholders, and residents of Umiray who paid tribute to the site. The activity highlighted ceremonial rites and messages of remembrance that reaffirm the enduring bond between the Philippine Marine Corps and the community of Umiray.
