The Makati DRRM Office was created to strengthen the city's advocacy for resiliency It serves as the Secretariat and executive arm of the Makati DRRM Council.

The Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) was established on 10 May 2012 in compliance to Republic Act 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010. The Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) performs the following responsibilities:
- establish community-based volunteer and rescue groups

• E-at Low Protein Foods - Reduce eating foods that are high in protein as they can increase metabolic heat.
• R-emain Indoors As Much as Possible - Stay indoors as much as possible. If air conditioning is not available, stay on the lowest floor.

Forecast Outlook: Today, Makati City will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Winds: Light to moderate from the Southwest throughout the forecast period.

Temperature: 26°C to 30°C

Tropical Cyclone Being Monitored: At 3:00 AM today, the center of the eye of Typhoon "DOMENG" {JANGMI} was estimated based on all available data at 1,206 km Northeast of Makati (23.7°N, 127.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 160 km/h. It is moving North Northwestward at 15 km/h.
