On October 13, 2026, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) โ Bukidnon was recognized as an Extension Partner of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) during BukSU Kabulig Awards 2026 as part of the celebration of Extension Week 2026, held at the BukSU Auditorium, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
DARโBukidnon received a Plaque of Recognition for its steadfast partnership with the university in advancing extension and community engagement, as well as its shared commitment, resources, and service that have brought meaningful change to the communities they serve.
Carrying the theme, โPartners in Action: Co-Creating Solutions for the SDGs,โ the celebration recognized the contributions of partner institutions, local government units, non-government organizations, and community leaders in sustaining collaborative initiatives that respond to community needs and support inclusive development.
Derived from the Visayan word kabulig, meaning โpartnerโ or โcollaborator,โ the annual awards underscore the value of cooperation in creating meaningful and lasting impact through university-led extension programs.
Honoring Sir Jake Peras as BukSUโs soldier, who has been an instrument to DAR Cooperative-Delegations in empowering cooperative governance, strengthening microfinance, capacity building, and the like.
During the activity, PARPO I Maybelle T. Alcala delivered a message on behalf of PARPO II Jammal G. Pangandaman, emphasizing the very heart of DAR to the farmers (to make the lives of every ARB/ARBO meaningful and beautiful) and also reaffirming its commitment to partnering BukSU in developing and empowering families, communities, and cooperatives.
Three assisted ARBOs were recognized for also partnering BukSU; Dalwangan Malaybalay United Dairy Agrarian Reform Cooperative (DAMAUDARC), Apo Macote Agrarian Reform Cooperative, and QUARBA Farmer Cooperative (QFC).
