Turn-Over Ceremony of Skills Training Kits for ALS Learners
A meaningful Training on Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) and Basic Dressmaking, followed by the Turn-Over Ceremony of Skills Training Kits, was conducted for Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners in Ticulon, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The training provided learners with practical and livelihood-oriented skills in bread and pastry production and dressmaking, equipping them with knowledge they can use to explore income-generating opportunities and strengthen their capacity for self-reliance.
Following the training, essential skills training kits were formally turned over to the participants, including sewing machines for the Dressmaking Training and ovens and other equipment for Bread and Pastry Production. These tools are intended to help the learners apply the skills they gained from the training and, hopefully, take their first steps toward building their own livelihood.
The activity was initiated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the 73rd Infantry Battalion.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Governor Atty. Franklin P. Bautista and Hon. Vice Governor Lorna Bautista-Bandigan for their continued support for programs that empower our communities, provide opportunities for our learners, and promote sustainable livelihood.
To our ALS learners, we hope these skills and tools will be more than just equipmentβthey will be instruments of opportunity. May the sewing machines, ovens, and other training kits become the beginning of something bigger: a small livelihood, a new source of income, greater confidence, and a brighter future for you and your families.
Your learning is an investment in your future. Keep learning, keep creating, and keep believing that you can build better opportunities for yourself. π±
