DILG Malitbog Conducts initial POPS Planning Session with PNP and BFP for FY 2027 Budget

LGU Malitbog through the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan Technical Working Group convened a Joint Planning Session with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for the formulation of the POPS Plan and its corresponding PPAs for the FY 2027 Budget.

The session focused on the identification of peace and order, public safety, and fire safety concerns, alignment of PNP and BFP priority programs with LGU funding, and ensuring inclusion of their operational and logistical needs in the 2027 Annual Investment Program (AIP).

Present during the session were the MLGOO, PNP Chief of Police / MPS, BFP Fire Marshal, POC & ADAC focal and members of the POPS Secretariat.

The session highlighted the new delegation mechanism allowing the DILG Secretary to authorize representatives to approve foreign travel requests, resulting in a more efficient and responsive processing system.

Participants were also briefed on the proper filing procedure, documentary requirements for official and personal travel, and compliance with existing laws on accountability and public service continuity.
