From October 14 to 16, 2026, Dr. Sheila Palacio-Ponlawon, WCPU Consultant, represented the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) at the Orientation on the Bulacan Strategic Performance Management System, held at the Capitol VIP Lounge, Bulacan Provincial Capitol, City of Malolos, Bulacan. The activity included agency-level workshops and internal calibration sessions aimed at enhancing the implementation and alignment of the agency’s performance management processes.

BULACAN MEDICAL CENTER WCPU EXTENDS ITS SINCERE GRATITUDE TO B.O.G.S.

The Bulacan Medical Center Women and Children Protection Unit (BMC-WCPU) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Bulacan Medical Center – OB-GYN Alumni Society, Inc. (B.O.G.S.) for its generous donation and invaluable support to our unit.

The donation was made through its current president, Eileen A. Flameño, MD, FPOGS (President, 2026–2027), and represented by its former presidents, Violeta de Guzman, MD, FPOGS, MHA, CPS (2022–2023) and Rudiger Baldovino, MD, MHA, FPOGS (2023–2024).

This generous gesture reflects the Society’s continuing commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare, protection, and well-being of women and children. Your generosity will go a long way in strengthening our efforts to provide compassionate, responsive, and quality services to women and children who need our care and protection.

Dennis Cabanada Villarojo, D.D., Bishop of Malolos, held at the BMC Chapel, in Brgy Mojon, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

🤝 Strengthening Partnership for the Protection of Women and Children

On October 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Angelito D. Trinidad, MD, FPCS, Chief of Hospital and the personnel of Women and Children Protection Unit (WCPU) of Bulacan Medical Center (BMC), led by Jose Emiliano T. Gatchalian, MD, FPSGS, FPCS, conducted a courtesy call to PCOL JAY B BAYBAYAN, Provincial Director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO), as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen inter-agency coordination and collaboration in the protection and welfare of women and children.

The courtesy call provided an opportunity to establish stronger linkages between the BMC WCPU and the Bulacan PPO, particularly in the appropriate and timely response to cases involving women and children, referral and coordination, and the delivery of victim-centered services.

BMC WCPU recognizes the importance of a strong partnership with law enforcement agencies in ensuring that every woman and child receives compassionate, timely, coordinated, and appropriate care and protection.

Together, let us continue to build a stronger network of service providers committed to safeguarding the rights, dignity, safety, and well-being of women and children.
