Today, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation proudly launches the first electronic edition of REIview, the proposed consolidated digital newsletter of OVPREI.

The name REIview comes from two ideas: REI, representing Research, Extension, and Innovation, and “view,” reflecting our purpose of bringing together in one clear and accessible space the many initiatives, recognitions, partnerships, programs, and stories that shape the impact of OVPREI and its units.

This is not a separate printed newspaper or a locally circulated publication. Rather, REIview is an electronic compilation of highlights—a quarterly digital feature that gathers selected accomplishments and previously shared updates from the official pages of the offices, centers, and units under OVPREI. Through this, we hope to make our collective work easier to revisit, appreciate, share, and understand.

For its first edition covering January to April 2026, REIview looks back at the milestones that marked the opening months of the year: institutional recognitions, research productivity gains, extension engagements, innovation initiatives, and stories that reflect Bulacan State University’s continuing commitment to real impact.

As our community continues to grow online, we are sharing REIview here on Facebook to reach more members of the BulSU community, partners, stakeholders, and friends who continue to support the University’s mission.

Bulacan State University officially opens the 2026 Call for Research Project Proposals anchored on the theme:

In a rapidly changing and increasingly complex world, research must go beyond academic compliance. It must become a transformative force for innovation, community empowerment, sustainability, and nation-building. Through this initiative, BulSU aims to support meaningful, future-ready, and impact-driven research projects that respond to real societal challenges and contribute to regional and national development.

Approved research projects may receive funding of up to ₱1,000,000, with implementation beginning in 2027 (subject to approval).

Collaborative proposals are strongly encouraged and must involve at least two (2) academic units and/or research centers to strengthen transdisciplinary integration, innovation, and broader societal impact.
