𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

On May 8, 2026, at about 4:40 PM, personnel from PECU Rizal, led by PCPT JEYAMA P CARIAZO, Team Leader, responded to a request for EOD assistance at Celestia Timberland, San Mateo, Rizal.

Upon arrival, the team coordinated with the San Mateo MPS. The item was initially discovered by Mr. John Paul Serrano, a Safety Aid for JCRCC, while conducting a sweep with a metal detector. After a technical examination, the item was identified as one (1) unit of 4.2 inch Mortar HE.

PECU Rizal personnel successfully performed a Render Safe procedure (RSP). The ordnance was secured and transported to the PECU Rizal office for proper disposition.

RECU 7 Ensures Secure ASEAN Summit 2026 Movements Through Paneling/Sweeping Operations in Mactan

In line with the PNP FOCUSED AGENDA (Enhanced-Managing Police Operations) and under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of RECU 7 conducted Security and Safety Coverage through Paneling/Sweeping Operation on May 8, 2026 in relation to heightened security measures for the ASEAN Summit 2026 at the Savoy Hotel Parking Lot, Mactan Newtown, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of PCPT JOYCE E DUGAN, Team Leader, and under the direct supervision and control of PMAJ ARNULFO L JACABAN JR, OIC, RECU 7.

The team conducted a thorough paneling and sweeping operation on convoy vehicles, all in relation to the ASEAN Summit 2026 security operations. The activity ensured that all vehicles were cleared prior to deployment and movement of personnel and delegates.

The operation was completed smoothly and efficiently with no untoward incident reported. No explosive materials or dangerous substances were found during the inspection, reflecting the high level of professionalism, vigilance, and operational readiness of RECU 7 personnel in supporting the security framework of the ASEAN Summit 2026.

“PNP-EOD/K9 RECU7 Conducts Night Paneling Operation at Mactan Newtown in Support of ASEAN Summit 2026”

In line with the PNP FOCUSED AGENDA (Enhanced-Managing Police Operations) and under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, An intensified security operations for the ASEAN Summit 2026 was conducted by RECU 7, a Security and Safety Coverage through Paneling/Sweeping Operation on May 8, 2026 at the Main Entrance of Mactan Newtown, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The operation was conducted from 7:50 PM to 8:18 PM under the leadership of PSMS Victor Lark P Blancas, Team Leader, and under the direct supervision and control of PMAJ ARNULFO L JACABAN JR, OIC, RECU 7. The team was composed of PSMS Nandy W Talisay, PSSg Jake G Pinca, and PCpl Rey C Ojeda, with EDD “Marga” and DS Driver PSSg Carlito Silud.

The personnel carried out thorough paneling and sweeping operations in the designated area to ensure the safety and security of the surroundings in relation to the ASEAN Summit 2026. The activity was aimed at maintaining a secure environment for the movement of personnel, delegates, and other authorized individuals within the vicinity.

In line with the intensified security preparations for the 48th ASEAN Leaders’ Summit, personnel of RECU 7 conducted an Intrusive Paneling Operation on May 8, 2026 at the parking area of Dusit Thani, Brgy. Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The operation, which commenced at 5:30 AM and concluded at 5:45 AM, was led by PCpl Cris E Omblero under the direct supervision and control of PMAJ ARNULFO L JACABAN JR OIC, RECU 7. It was carried out on the vehicle of USEC DTI Allan Gepty as part of the established security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of high-profile individuals and critical movements associated with the international event.

The activity was conducted in a swift and systematic manner, adhering to standard operating procedures for explosive and security inspection operations. No untoward incident was reported during the course of the operation, reflecting the professionalism, readiness, and efficiency of the deployed personnel.

This successful security measure underscores the unwavering commitment of RECU 7 and the PNP- EOD/K9 Group in supporting national and international security efforts, ensuring a safe environment for dignitaries and participants of the ASEAN Leaders’ Summit.

BAYANIHAN SA IFUGAO: PNP AT KOMUNIDAD NAGKATUWANG SA RIPRAP PROJECT

Isang makabuluhang pagpapakita ng bayanihan ang naganap sa Barangay Kihdog, Baang, Hungduan, Ifugao noong umaga ng Mayo 8, 2026, kung saan nagkaisa ang kapulisan at mga residente sa pagsasagawa ng riprap project na naglalayong maprotektahan ang lupa laban sa pagguho at mapanatili ang katatagan ng paligid ng isang residente sa lugar.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Philippine National Police Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., aktibong nakibahagi ang Regional Public Safety Battalion Team ng Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB 15), 1501st Maneuver Company, at 1st Integrated Provincial Mobile Force Company (IPMFC), katuwang ang mga opisyal ng barangay at mga boluntaryo mula sa komunidad.

Sa sama-samang pagkilos, inihakot at inihanda ang mga bato na gagamitin para sa riprap structure na mahalaga upang maiwasan ang pagguho ng lupa at mapalakas ang seguridad ng lugar. Sa pamamagitan ng gawaing ito, mas lalo pang tumibay ang ugnayan ng kapulisan at mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng aktibong pagtutulungan sa komunidad.

Ang ganitong inisyatiba ay kaakibat ng PNP Focused Agenda na patuloy na nagsusulong ng mas pinaigting na Enhanced Managing Police Operations at Active Community Support, na nakatuon sa mas malapit na pakikipag-ugnayan sa komunidad at pagtugon sa kanilang mga pangangailangan sa seguridad at kaayusan.

“This kind of activity shows that the police are not only law enforcers but also partners of the community. Ang kapulisan ay katuwang ng mamamayan sa pagbuo ng mas ligtas na pamayanan,” ayon kay Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

“Unity between the police and the community builds stronger trust and cooperation. Sa pagkakaisa ng kapulisan at komunidad, mas nagiging matatag ang ating lipunan,” dagdag niya.

Sa patuloy na pagsasagawa ng mga ganitong inisyatiba, higit na pinagtitibay ng Philippine National Police ang kanilang tungkulin sa paglilingkod at pakikipag-ugnayan sa komunidad, na naglalayong itaguyod ang kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaunlaran sa antas ng barangay, alinsunod sa adhikain nitong “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
