Strengthening Collaboration for a Safer, More Resilient Community 🤝
The Local Government of Mambajao successfully conducted the 1st Quarter 2026 Joint Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Development Council (MDC), Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC), Municipal Council Against Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Women and their Children (MCAT-VAWC), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) at the SB Session Hall, Mambajao Municipal Hall.
Led by Hon. Mayor Ynigo Jesus D. Romualdo, the meeting brought together partner agencies and stakeholders to review accomplishments, share updates, and strengthen strategies for maintaining peace and order, promoting a drug-free community, protecting women and children, and enhancing disaster preparedness in Mambajao.
Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, actively participated in the activity, reaffirming its commitment to support the municipality’s programs and initiatives for community safety, rehabilitation, and good governance.

“Knowledge is the key to success”
Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, actively participated in a two-day Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Training conducted by DOST Camiguin. The activity was attended by MDJ personnel together with Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) to strengthen their knowledge and skills in proper food handling, sanitation, and maintaining quality standards in food production.
The training forms part of the preparation for the upcoming Bakery Project, equipping participants with the essential competencies needed to ensure safe, hygienic, and quality bakery products. Through initiatives like this, Mambajao District Jail continues to promote skills development and provide meaningful livelihood opportunities for PDL in support of their productive reintegration into the community. 👩‍🍳✨

Strengthening collaboration for peace, security, and public safety🤝
The 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), together with PADAC, PDRRMC, PTF-ELCAC, PTF-MEREID, PTF-Disiplina, PCAT-VAWC, PCPC, and SWMB, was successfully conducted yesterday March 6, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, 3rd Floor, New Capitol Building, Lakas, Mambajao, Camiguin.
The activity was graced by the presence and support of Honorable Congressman Jurdin Jesus M Romualdo and Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo, highlighting the province’s strong commitment to unified governance and coordinated efforts in maintaining peace, order, disaster preparedness, and community safety.
Representing JSUPT GREGORIO C ACACIO , Provincial Jail Administrator, SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden of Mambajao District Jail attended the meeting and actively presented the accomplishment report of Mambajao District Jail, while also participating in discussions on key issues affecting the province.

💜 MDJ Kicks Off the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration! 💜
The Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, successfully conducted the Kick-Off Ceremony of the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration.
The program covered the ceremonial signing of the Commitment Wall, the hanging of the official tarpaulin, and a Zumba activity—symbolizing the jail’s unwavering support for gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the continuous advancement of Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives.

💜 MDJ Personnel Join LGU Mambajao in the 2026 National Women’s Month Kick-Off Activity
Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, proudly attended the LGU Mambajao Kick-Off Activity for the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration. The event was held during the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony in partnership with LGU Mambajao and KALIPI.
During the ceremony, the MDJ women personnel had the honor of serving as the flag raisers, symbolizing strength, leadership, and the vital role of women in nation-building and public service.
After the ceremony, MDJ personnel actively participated in the Women’s Month Caravan, demonstrating strong support for Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives within the community.
The activity highlighted unity and collaboration among various agencies in promoting gender equality and women empowerment.
Together, we remain committed to building a more inclusive and empowered society for all.

Earlier today, February 13, 2026, SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden of Mambajao District Jail, together with JO2 Francis Javier N Bitgue and JO1 Estrella D Adlaon, coordinated with HON. YÑIGO JESUS D. ROMUALDO, Municipal Mayor of Mambajao, and Architect Shawntel Ynumerable regarding the proposed renovation of the Mambajao District Jail kitchen facility for the proposed Bakery.
During the meeting, a Certificate of Recognition signed by JCSUPT FELIXBERTO S JAGORIN JR. Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, awarded during the BJMP R10 Quarterly Management Conference was formally presented to the Municipal Mayor HON. YÑIGO JESUS D. ROMUALDO, in grateful recognition for the unwavering support and continues provision of resources for our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
This initiative reflects the continued partnership and strong collaboration between BJMP Mambajao District Jail and the Local Government Unit of Mambajao in promoting facility improvement and welfare support.

In the spirit of collaboration, BJMPRO-X Mambajao District Jail proudly participated in the FY 2025 Program Implementation Review and Harmonized Awarding Ceremony on January 23, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, New Provincial Capitol, Lakas Mambajao, Camiguin.
Led by SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, together with JO1 Estrella D Adlaon and JO1 Angielyn S Quisagan, joined the comprehensive review of health programs and initiatives implemented across the province. The ceremony also recognized the exemplary contributions of health personnel and partner agencies through a harmonized awarding. BJMPRO-X Mambajao District Jail was honored as an awardee for its outstanding role as a blood donor, further underscoring its dedication to inter-agency collaboration, accountability, and the delivery of high-quality health services to the people of Camiguin.

An on-site inspection for the upcoming kitchen renovation was conducted by the LGU Mambajao Engineering Department through the collaborative efforts of Acting Jail Warden SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Municipal Mayor of Mambajao Hon. Ynigo Jesus D Romualdo and DOLE-Camiguin Officer-in-Charge Mr. Orlando N. Abrenica, Jr in support of the livelihood project of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
This collaborative initiative highlights the shared commitment of all stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, improve facilities, and implement sustainable projects that promote rehabilitation, skills development, and improved public service. Mambajao District Jail remains steadfast in its commitment to the holistic rehabilitation of our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). Through the initiative of our Acting Jail Warden, SJO4 Nathaniel A. Ajon, an onsite Holy Mass was conducted to provide spiritual guidance, moral strength, and renewed hope to those in our care.
Mambajao DJ is truly grateful to Rev. Fr. Arthur Guevara of the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish for leading this meaningful Eucharistic celebration. This sacred gathering reflects the jail’s commitment to reform—going beyond safekeeping by nurturing the hearts and souls of our PDL as they prepare for positive reintegration into society.
