Mandaluyong City: CO1 Micaeula Garcia, together with CO1 Geneva Suyu, External Affairs Section (EAS) Program Officers, provided a two-day dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner lecture and workshop to soon to be released PDL at the Correctional Institution for Women on July 01, 2022.

The livelihood initiatives of this institution strives to put PDL to work in a contemporary program that offers income-generating activities as a possibility for effectively transitioning them to the working world. Once freed and integrated into society, this could be the first step toward establishing a small business.

Strategic livelihood opportunities were consistently offered as part of the Bureau's Pre-Release Reintegration Program for soon-to-be-released PDL under the direction of CTSSUPT HYLENE C PANCHO, acting superintendent of the CIW.

“Carrying of cellular phone inside the BuCor premises is PROHIBITED.”

Earlier today, the Office of the Director General, through the Intelligence Investigation Division (IID), conducted a random surprise inspection to all the offices at the New Bilibid Prison and BuCor National Headquarters. This is in compliance with the instruction of Justice Secretary JESUS CRISPIN REMULLA on the prohibition of entry of cellular phones in the Bureau of Corrections, duly reiterated by our Director General, USEC GERALD Q BANTAG.

During the inspection, one personnel was discovered to have sneaked-in a cellular phone inside the BuCor’s office despite series of Memoranda on the said prohibition, thus an administrative charge was immediately commenced following proper procedure on the filing of administrative cases to personnel of BuCor.

Again, this policy is strictly enforced to “ALL BUCOR EMPLOYEES, AND NO ONE IS EXEMPTED”, any violation of this directive shall be dealt with accordingly.
