The Philippine Railways Institute (PRI) launched the second part of Supervisory and Management Training (SMT) Course Curriculum Writeshop, today, focusing on finalizing training curriculum designed for railway sector's supervisors and managers.
This workshop was facilitated by Atty. Ma. Anthonette Allones of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), ensuring that SMT course modules are relevant and responsive to the real-world challenges faced by railway supervisors and managers by strengthening their leadership, decision-making, and a safety-first culture.
By enhancing the railway workforce's capabilities, the PRI help ensure a safer, more efficient, and more reliable rail services for the public.

Weโre excited to welcome Mr. Theppathai Nomwaree, Chief of the Curriculum and Railway Technical School Section at the Institute of Railway Training, State Railway of Thailand, to the ASEAN Railway Conference (ASEAN RailCon) 2026 this June 18โ19!
๐ Armed with a Master of Engineering in Railway Safety Engineering (Seoul National University of Science and Technology, under the Korean Government Scholarship Program) and a Bachelor of Political Science (Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University), Mr. Theppathai combines academic rigor with practical leadership in railway education.

Paraรฑaque, City โ In its continuing efforts to professionalize the railway sector, the ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ (PRI), through its ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, conducted a five-day One-Stop-Shop (OSS) Program from 18-22 May 2026 at the๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐น๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐๐ฅ๐ ๐) ๐๐ฅ๐ง-๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ญ, Dr. Santos Station.
The OSS, which aims to bring the PRIโs train driverโs ID issuance closer to its stakeholders, served 156 train drivers of the LRMC. Applications for the ID issuance were received and reviewed on the same day. IDs were then issued to qualified train drivers who met all the qualifications for the said issuance.
The OSS previously served train drivers of the Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 and Philippine National Railways.

PRI Honors Graduates at 22nd Commencement Exercises, Strengthening the Nationโs Railway Workforce
The Philippine Railways Institute (PRI) held its 22nd Commencement Exercises on 20 May 2026 at the LRTA Command Center in Pasay City, honoring graduates of the Refresher Training (RT) and Fundamental Training (FT) Courses and reaffirming its commitment to developing skilled and professional railway personnel.
During the opening of the ceremony, DOTr Undersecretary and PRI Acting Executive Director Anneli R. Lontoc highlighted that the graduatesโ accomplishments represent not only certificates earned but also commitments to uphold safety, professionalism, excellence, and public service as they begin their journey in the railway industry.
Keynote speaker Assistant Secretary Cecilia E. Bien, DOTr Assistant Secretary for Management and Finance, reminded graduates that commencement marks the beginning of their journey in railway service, urging them to seize the opportunity to innovate and make a meaningful difference for the commuting public and the nation.
In his closing message, Engr. Leo Chris M. Mateo, Engineer IV of the PRI Training Division- Rolling Stock and Electrical Facilities Section, encouraged graduates to uphold the principles reinforced during their training at PRI, especially safety, discipline, and teamwork.
