Sa loob ng ilang taong serbisyo sa ibang bansa, ang bawat sakripisyo ay itinuring niyang puhunan para sa pangarap na makabalik sa Pilipinas at makasama ang kanyang asawa at dalawang anak na siyang nagbibigay sa kanya ng lakas at inspirasyon.
As one of the finalists of the LIKHA Global Business Plan Competition, he is now ready to launch CocoArt Agriculture, a business focused on sustainable coconut shell products. This venture is his way of turning his international experience into local opportunities, providing a stable future for his family while contributing to the growth of his community.
Inspired by the support of the DMW, NRCO, and the LIKHA Global Secretariat, he reminds his fellow OFWs that their hard work overseas is a stepping-stone toward entrepreneurship. He encourages them to be business-minded and to start planning for their return, believing that with discipline and perseverance, every OFW can build a lasting legacy back home.

After working for nine years as a painter and blaster in Saudi Arabia, Renato Alfeche from Mandaluyong City decided to return home to begin a new chapter. Upon his return, he found inspiration in his wifeโs dedication to soap making and joined her in attending various livelihood trainings to master the craft together.
Using his hard-earned savings and separation pay as start-up capital, they established Camsi Trading, an enterprise specializing in natural soaps made from madre de cacao and other herbal ingredients. Through perseverance, product innovation, and active participation in local trade fairs, their business has gradually expanded its reach.
Today, Camsi Trading stands as a testament to Renatoโs hard work and determinationโa business built from a shared family passion and the desire to create sustainable livelihood opportunities within their community.
Through dedication and the right skills, Renato proved that the transition from being an OFW to a local entrepreneur is a journey worth taking.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), in partnership with over 25 government agencies and stakeholders, leads the Bayanihan para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa National Reintegration Network (NRN) and Job Fair at the M.I.C.E. Center in Quezon City on April 6, 2026. The event serves as a one-stop shop, offering comprehensive reintegration services to repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families through financial aid, psychosocial support, ongoing skills development, and programs to promote long-term resilience and recovery.

Dr. Roelita Pineda from Baguio City worked as a general dentist in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. She returned to the Philippines in 2025 to be closer to her family and pursue new opportunities. Her overseas experience provided financial stability and enhanced her expertise through exposure to modern dental technologies.
Upon returning home and navigating the challenges of balancing work and family, she sought assistance from the Department of Migrant WorkersโCordillera Administrative Region (DMWโCAR) through the Balik Pinay, Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBH). With the livelihood assistance she received, combined with her personal savings, she was able to establish a DTI-registered dental clinic with all necessary permits. Drawing on her international experience, Dr. Pineda now serves a wide range of patients and plans to expand her practice to better meet the needs of her community.
