Ailyn, who had worked as a household service worker in Saudi Arabia since June 15, 2015, returned to the Philippines on July 8, 2026 to seek treatment. She is currently confined at St. Lukeโ€™s Medical Center in Quezon City.

Mary Rose was deployed to Oman in September 2024 as a household service worker. During her employment, she allegedly suffered physical abuse, including an incident in which she was struck in the head with a wooden plank. She eventually returned to the Philippines in December 2025 with an unfinished contract.

Following the traumatic experience she endured overseas, Mary Rose underwent medical evaluation at the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก (๐๐‚๐Œ๐‡) and continues to require medical care, follow-up consultations, and treatment.

When DMW-NCR could no longer reach her through the contact details she had provided, the team did not stop looking. Efforts were made to locate her until she was finally found at her residence in Camarinโ€”allowing the assistance intended for her to be delivered personally.

For our distressed OFWs, service should not end when communication becomes difficult. Sometimes, we have to go beyond our desks, find them where they are, and bring the governmentโ€™s care directly to their doorstep.
