The BFP EMS Mandaluyong City, 451 Ambu Personnel, led by SFO1 Nino King Amos A Batulan, Shift B Team Leader, headed by SFO2 Jethro Kloss B Ferranco, Acting Chief, EMS, under the Supervision of our City Fire Marshal, 𝑭𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑱𝑳 𝑨𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑵 𝑷 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑶, responded at Brgy Barangka Drive, Katarungan St Mandaluyong City for medical assistance.

The incident involved a 76-year-old male who suffered of difficulty of breathing due to fumigation of insectiside spray.

Upon arrival, EMS personnel promptly conducted an initial assessment, monitored the patient’s vital signs. The patient was then safely transported to VRP Medical Center for further monitoring and evaluation.

𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 “𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞” 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫-𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐬, whose leadership continues to bring compassion and decisive action to the city. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐓. Equally vital was the participation of the Mandaluyong City Fire Station with City Fire Marshal - 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐋 𝐀𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐎, while SFO1 Jethro Brillon, Shift-in-Charge, Central Fire Station, shared practical knowledge as one of the resource lecturers. The program emphasized fire prevention, earthquake readiness, and appropriate disaster response, culminating in the distribution of “go bags” as a symbol of family preparedness.
The central message was clear: safety is not the responsibility of a few, but of the entire community. With unity and shared vigilance, Mandaluyong continues to build a city that is safe, prepared, and resilient. The Mandaluyong City Fire Station, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐋 𝐀𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐎, City Fire Marshal continued the Technical Rope Rescue and Emergency Care Training at the National Center for Mental Health, Nueve de Pebrero, Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City.

Day 2 emphasized the systematic 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, reinforcing their operational readiness in both rope rescue and emergency care. Two groups composed of station personnel, were assessed on their ability to recognize hazards, correctly don and utilize personal protective equipment, and effectively integrate specialized rescue tools including ropes, carabiners, ascenders, descenders, and the Rescue Litter.

Instructors facilitated hands-on evaluations, observing participants as they executed return demonstrations of the techniques learned. This assessment highlighted their ability to apply knowledge in simulated rescue scenarios, reinforcing competence and preparedness for real-world emergencies.

The Mandaluyong City Fire Station, under the leadership of City Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐋 𝐀𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐎, successfully conducted Technical Rope Rescue and Emergency Care Training for Batch 02 at the National Center for Mental Health, Nueve de Pebrero, Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City.

The training covered an overview of rope rescue operations and emergency care procedures, emphasizing hazard recognition, proper use of personal protective equipment, and integration of rescue tools such as ropes, carabiners, ascenders, descenders, and spine boards.

Following the lecture proper, instructors facilitated practical demonstrations to enhance participants’ operational knowledge and skills. Trainees then performed return demonstrations, applying the techniques and procedures they had learned to ensure readiness in real-world rescue scenarios.

This activity forms part of the Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan program of the Bureau of Fire Protection, which aims to strengthen disaster preparedness, fire safety awareness, and emergency response capabilities in every barangay throughout the Philippines.

The BFP Mandaluyong City, under the leadership of City Fire Marshal 𝑭𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑱𝑳 𝑨𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑵 𝑷 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑶, conducted the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and Ranks Inspection at the Mandaluyong Central Fire Station.

During the activity, FO3 Roeymille B Robles served as the Troop Information and Education (TIE) speaker.

A personnel headcount and comprehensive ranks inspection were likewise conducted to ensure strict compliance with prescribed uniform standards, proper grooming, discipline, and the professional conduct expected of every BFP personnel. The inspection was spearheaded by the Administrative Section in coordination with key officers of BFP Mandaluyong City and PPSA Cadets.

In addition, FAST motorcycles, fire trucks, and ambulances underwent inspection to ensure operational readiness and serviceability in responding to emergencies and public safety concerns.
