Earlier today, our BPLO inspectors conducted regular and random inspections over business establishments for the verification and monitoring of their operations in Mandaue City.

We strongly encourage every business owners to register your activities and to secure your updated business permits to avoid any violation.

Local price monitoring over our basic and essential commodities, gasoline, and LPG.

Throughout the whole week, our BPLO Inspection Teams conducted independent inspections, and joint inspections with other agencies, on several establishments engaged in the trade of our essential commodities such as supermarkets, sellers of rice and corn, and even LPG and fuel products in Mandaue City.

This is in support of the price monitoring efforts of our City Goverment and to ensure that businesses conform with existing rules and regulations as to their conduct of business.

Present during our multiple joint inspections this week were the representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and personnel from the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) informs the public that services related to business permit processing and allied transactions remained available on April 17, 2026, attending to clients as necessary.

The public is likewise advised that BPLO operations will continue on succeeding Fridays.

While the City implements the Work-From-Home (WFH) Program for qualified personnel, the BPLO continues to adopt a skeletal workforce arrangement within the office, ensuring that frontline services, particularly those involving business permits and related transactions, remain available through on-site personnel assigned to assist clients and process applications.

Aside from our joint inspections with departments and government agencies, other inspection teams of the BPLO continued our daily inspections yesterday, April 13, 2026, over several businesses to ascertain their permits and licenses, and to better guide them toward compliance.

Again, regular and daily inspections are still done to better assist our businesses in securing valid and updated permits. Should you have any concern as to the requirements, feel free to ask during inspections.

Another joint inspection was conducted to strengthen the price monitoring of our essential and prime commodities.

Together with the representative of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the BPLO continued the inspections of supermarkets to verify the current prices of our basic, essential, and prime commodities.

More joint inspections have already been scheduled this week for the same purpose. We appreciate the cooperation during our inspections.
