The World Health Organization has declared Mpox a global health emergency. Mpox is spread through direct contact with sores, respiratory droplets, or contaminated items. Symptoms include fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, and swollen lymph nodes.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬:

Wash hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer.
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
Ensure good airflow in indoor spaces.
Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms.
No cases have been reported in Central Visayas yet, but stay vigilant and follow health guidelines. The Department of Health Central Visayas is actively monitoring the situation.

The month of August is dedicated to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of family planning in the Philippines.

Family planning has several benefits for the health of the family and community. Let us engage in meaningful conversations about gender equality, reproductive health, and responsible parenting.

Mga mommies, ang proteksyon ay mas mabisa kapag kumpleto at updated ang bakuna.
Pabakunahan ang inyong mga anak na edad 9-14 years old laban sa Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
na siyang sanhi ng kanser sa matres.

Ang kanilang kaligtasan at kalusugan, ating pangangalagaan.
Magtanong sa pinakamalapit na Health Center para sa schedule ng pagbabakuna.

Nutrition Month Culmination and Integration of Health Programs.

The Mandaue City Health Department, through Brgy. Umapad Health Center , and the City Nutrition Office celebrated the Nutrition Month at Purok Tambis Dumpsite on 31 July 2024 with the support of Punong Barangay Kap. Reb “Biboy” Cortes and Committee on Health Kagawad Arlou T. Quindao.

The event also integrated key health programs including Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, Adolescent Health, Immunization, and Dengue Prevention.
