Personnel from Police Station 6, in coordination with the BPSO, conducted foot patrols and security operations under Oplan Bulabog and Oplan Bakal Sita and strictly implemented curfew regulations in designated areas of Barangay Cubacub and Casili, Mandaue City.
These efforts are intended to maintain peace and order, enhance police visibility, ensure strict adherence to local laws and regulations, and effectively safeguard the welfare and safety of every citizen in the community.

LOOK: Personnel of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) arrested two individuals in separate anti- illegal gambling operations on May 23, 2026, for alleged violation of Republic Act 9287, or the law penalizing illegal numbers games such as βSwertres.β
The first operations was conducted at around 12:40 P.M. in Zone Sibuyas, Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City, which resulted in the arrest of alias Rogelio, a resident of the area.
MCPO personnel caught the suspect acting as an Usher for the illegal numbers game βSwertres.β
Recovered from his possession were a paper stub containing handwritten number combinations, a black ballpen, and cash proceeds amounting to P 120.00 in different denominations.
In a separate operations at around 6:48 P.M. in Sitio Nawanao, Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City, police arrested alias Marvin, who is presently residing in the area, also for allegedly engaging in illegal βSwertresβ operations.
Seized from the suspect were a paper stub with handwritten number combinations, a black ballpen, and cash proceeds amounting to P 110.00.
Both suspects were informed of the nature of their arrest and their constitutional rights in a dialect known to them.
The operations were conducted as part of the intensified campaign against illegal gambling by the MCPO- City Intelligence Unit, under the command of Police Colonel Cirilo B. Acosta Jr.
Acosta reiterated the police forceβs commitment to curbing illegal gambling activities in Mandaue City.
βWe will continue to intensify our operations against all forms of illegal gambling in order to maintain peace and order in the community. We also encourage the public to cooperate with authorities and report any unlawful activities in their areas,β Acosta said.

Man nabbed for illegal firearm possession in Mandaue
LOOK: A 39-year-old man was arrested by police for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act, during an anti-criminality operations in Barangay Subangdaku on May 22.
The suspect was identified as alias Reymar, single, and a resident of Barangay Qiuot, Cebu City.
According to the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), personnel from the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) conducted an operations against loose fi****ms following a complaint from a concerned citizen.
The operations took place at around 3:31 P.M. along F.F. Cruz Street in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The suspect was apprehended after officers caught him in possession and control of an unlicensed firearm.
Recovered from the suspect were one caliber 9mm revolver and two live rounds of ammunitions.
The suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and his constitutional rights in a dialect known to him.
The operations was conducted under the command of Police Colonel Cirilo B. Acosta Jr., City Director of MCPO.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of R.A. 10591.
