The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), being the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office successfully held the turnover ceremony of the 40 KWP Solar PV System and Electric Vehicle Charging Station by DOE-Visayas Field Office to Mandaue City.

The event was attended by Dir. Renante M. Sevilla, Officer-In-Charge of DOE-Visayas Field Office and Mayor Thadeo Jovito M. Ouano together with Councilor Joel Seno and Councilor Jen Del Mar.

This marks a significant step toward sustainable and energy-efficient development of Mandaue City.
This milestone reinforces the commitment to renewable energy, reduced carbon emissions, and a cleaner environment for the community.

Together, we move forward—driving innovation, sustainability, and progress.

This training strengthened the capacity of LGU personnels in analyzing and interpreting community-based data. Participants learned practical tools in descriptive statistics and principles of effective visualization—helping transform raw datasets into meaningful insights that guide planning, policy-making, and program implementation.

The CPDO Mandaue representatives also proudly showcased our very own online platform, CITYMAP, where data and maps from CBMS 2023 can be accessed to support evidence-based local governance.

The Mandaue City Development Council (CDC) Full Council successfully convened last February 27, 2026, to deliberate on key development priorities shaping the future of Mandaue City.
Highlighted agenda items included:
• Presentation and Approval of the ff:
- The proposed alignment of the Coastal Road and 4th Bridge Project
- Construction of new classrooms for CY 2027
• Presentation and approval of Sectoral Committee Reports:
– Institutional Sector Committee
– Infrastructure Sector Committee
– Social Sector Committee
– Environmental Sector Committee
– Economic Sector Committee
The meeting reinforced the Council’s commitment to strategic planning, sustainable infrastructure, and inclusive growth for the people of Mandaue City.

Strengthening Local Planning and Development for Central Visayas City Planning and Development Coordinator Ar. Marlo Ocleasa, Zoning Officer IV Engr. John Paul Francisco, and Project Development Officer IV Ar. Charlene Canete represented our city at the DHSUD Region 7 Devolution – Enforcement Training held at Montebello Villa Hotel, Cebu City.
This capacity-building initiative, organized by the League of Local Planners Region VII, Inc. in partnership with DHSUD Region 7, equips local planners with enhanced technical and enforcement skills in housing, land use, and development regulations—anchored on Republic Act No. 11201.
Together, we advance sound land use planning, development control, and policy implementation for a more sustainable and well-planned future in Central Visayas.

Mandaue City, through the active participation of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and the Mandaue City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), proudly took part in the Metro Cebu - Yokohama Workshop for Promoting Decarbonized City Development and Disaster Resilience Enhancement in Metro Cebu held at Summit Galleria Cebu.

The workshop gathered leaders and partners from Metro Cebu and Yokohama to strengthen collaboration on decarbonization, renewable energy, integrated waste management, and disaster resilience. During the session, Mandaue City shared its priorities and expectations under the City-to-City Collaboration Project supported by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment.

Together, we continue working toward a carbon-neutral and disaster-resilient future for Mandaue and Metro Cebu.
