A Maxim rider visited the office to report an incident involving an online scam. The rider accepted a Cash on Delivery (COD) booking where the sender and receiver were the same person, who was also the online seller.

Upon completing the delivery and paying for the item on behalf of the receiver, the rider discovered that the item was damaged and unusable. The supposed receiver (who is also the seller) then refused to accept the item.

As a result, the rider was left responsible for the payment of the item and reported the matter as a suspected scam.

The Local Office on Muslim Affairs extended assistance to ensure proper handling of the situation and to guide the rider on the appropriate steps to address the complaint.
