𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 | SAAD conducts organizational strengthening training for 22 Bohol FAs

To strengthen the organizational structure, planning, and management of farmer associations under the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program in Central Visayas, a rollout training on organizational strengthening and management was conducted for 22 farmer associations (FAs) in Bohol on March 17–20 and March 24–27, 2026.

The training aimed to increase members’ participation in their organizations by guiding them in revisiting, revising, and crafting their constitutions and bylaws.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 | DA-SAAD delivers, inspects P460K-worth forage chopper in Batuan, Bohol

The Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program conducted an inspection of one (1) unit forage chopper delivered to the Nagkahiusang Mag-uuma sa Rizal in Barangay Rizal, Batuan, Bohol last March 19, 2026.

Valued at Php 460,000, the equipment supports the association’s Vegetable Production and Cattle Fattening with Marketing and Enterprise project.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 | SAAD boosts monitoring of vegetable production project in Boljoon, Cebu

The Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program Phase 2 conducted a monitoring activity among farmer-beneficiaries of the Vegetable Production with Marketing and Enterprise Project in Barangay San Antonio, Boljoon, last March 19, 2026.

The activity assessed the progress of the association, represented by one of its members, Maricel B. Ternate, particularly those engaged in High Value Crops (HVC) production. It focused on evaluating crop conditions, farm management practices, and overall production performance to ensure proper implementation of project interventions and alignment with program objectives.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 | DA-SAAD 7 trains staff on Organizational Structuring and Management to strengthen support for FAs

To strengthen the capacity of program implementers in supporting farmers’ associations (FAs), 23 personnel from the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) in Central Visayas participated in a Training of Trainers on Strengthening Organizational Structuring, Planning, and Management held in Cebu City from March 3 to 5, 2026.

The participants were composed of staff from the Regional Program Management Support Office (RPMSO) and the Provincial Program Management Support Offices (PPMSOs). The activity equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively guide and support farmer associations under the program.
