Dapat may libreng drinking water stations sa mga lugar kung saan araw-araw na nagtatrabaho at nagtitipon ang ating mga kababayan. Hindi dapat dagdag gastos ang pag-iwas sa dehydration at heat stroke.

Hindi rin sapat na mag-report lang ng heat index.

Kailangan nating tiyakin na mayroon tayong ligtas na mapagpapahingahan at malinis na tubig na maiinom.

Dapat makapaglagay ang gobyerno ng mga hydration stations gaya ng drinking fountains at water refilling stations sa mga palengke, terminal, at iba pang matataong lugar para lahat may access sa libre at malinis na tubig.

Effective 24 October 2026, the Regional DRRM Operations Center is raised to RED Alert Status to ensure heightened monitoring, strengthened coordination, and effective oversight of emergency preparedness and response efforts in line with the hosting of the 20th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and 13th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus) in Cebu.

The ADMM is the highest defense-consultative and cooperative mechanism in ASEAN, bringing together defense ministers from all ASEAN member states (currently 11 nations, including Timor-Leste). Its core purpose is to promote regional peace and stability through dialogue, transparency, and practical defense cooperation among ASEAN members with focus areas on maritime security, counter-terrorism, disaster relief, military medicine, and regional defense policies.

The ADMM Plus is an expansion of the ADMM that includes the 11 ASEAN member states plus 8 external Dialogue Partners (Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia, and the United States) with core purpose of building security capacity, foster trust, and conduct practical joint operations and exercises.

The Office of Civil Defense Regional Office 7 is tasked to lead the Site Task Group for Emergency Preparedness and Response (STG-EPR) deploying approximately 80 personnel and resources from various agencies, including OCD, BFP, DOH, AFP-VISCOM, NAVFORCEN, TOWCEN, DICT, DSWD, DPWH, PCG, MCIAA, ERUF, Philippine Red Cross, Cebu Provincial DRRM Office, and the Local DRRM Offices of Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Cordova, Mandaue City, Medellin and Carcar City, Carcar City Hospital, and Minglanilla District Hospital. Also with the support of the Provincial Government of Cebu led by Governor Pamela Baricuatro, and Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindi King-Chan. The STG-EPR is mandated to direct and oversee the overall emergency preparedness and response and manage consequences of natural and human-induced disasters that may occur during the hosting.

The Central Visayas Site Task Group was also activated by the Police Regional Office VII in support to the ADMM and ADMM Plus.

Likewise, the Emergency Operations Center has been activated and an Incident Command Post has been established.

As Cebu prepares for this significant international event, the public is strongly advised to stay informed by monitoring official advisories and to fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

In reference to RDRRMC Memorandum No. 70, series of 2026, issued on October 21, 2026 and signed by Chairperson Dir. Joel Q. Mamon, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Operations Center–Central Visayas has raised its alert status to BLUE effective October 22, 2026.

This measure is implemented to ensure heightened monitoring, strengthened coordination, and effective oversight of emergency preparedness and response efforts in line with the hosting of the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting and ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting Plus in Cebu.

The Emergency Operations Center has likewise been activated to facilitate close monitoring, optimize inter-agency coordination, and ensure timely information updates among members of the Site Task Group on Emergency Preparedness and Response.

As Cebu prepares for this significant international event, the public is strongly advised to stay informed by monitoring official advisories and to fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

Please be advised that a portion of the road in Pagutlan, Tayud, Consolacion is currently obstructed by a fallen electric post and tangled electrical wires, causing traffic disruption and posing a serious safety risk to motorists and pedestrians.
