The BS Real Estate Management (BS REM) and BS Financial Accounting students of UCLM, enrolled in the subject Good Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility, successfully conducted a feeding program last May 1, 2026, at Sitio Riverside, Looc, Mandaue City, in coordination with the College of Business and Accountancy CARES.
Alongside the activity, the students also facilitated a short discussion with the children on proper waste disposal management, promoting environmental awareness and responsible community practices.

We are proud to share that the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue Campus has been recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau Region VII.
The award was received by Mr. Melvin Monton of the UCLM CARES Office in recognition of the university’s valuable support and partnership during the “Women and Water” event in celebration of Philippine Water Week and National Women’s Month, held at SM City Consolacion.

The UCLM CARES Office, in coordination with the UCLM Guidance Office, successfully conducted a Mental Health Seminar for the youth in its adopted communities.
Youth participants from Barangay Looc, Barangay Opao, and Barangay Paknaan actively joined the activity. The seminar was also graced by SK Chairman Hon. Kyle Andreev Semblante of Barangay Opao, who showed his support for youth mental health initiatives.
The seminar featured Ms. Hannah Hazel Tumampos, CMHT, Guidance Associate of UCLM, as the resource speaker.
This meaningful activity was made more special through the support of Ms. Eco International Australia 2025 Laurice Adriana Gravador, DJ Triqq, and Australian Friends, who generously provided loot bags, notebooks, ballpens, personal kits, and snacks for the participants.
Special thanks to all UCLM CARES officers and volunteers for extending their hands in facilitating the activity, and to Ms. Mere Vine Ompad, CBA CARES President, for serving as the emcee of the program.

UCLM CARES Annual Gift-Giving Activity
UCLM Community Awareness, Relations, and Extension Services (CARES) successfully conducted its Annual Gift-Giving Activity for children affected by Typhoon Tino in its adopted barangay in Mandaue City on December 13, 2025, at the UCLM Covered Court.
The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of all CARES departments, in partnership with the General Education Teachers, reflecting the university’s strong commitment to community service and compassion.
The food served during the activity was generously sponsored by Capt. Mario Gabuya and family, former faculty member of the Marine Transportation program; Ms. Lace Villavicencio, Hospitality Management alumna; Ma’am Nely Villavicencio of The Heart of God Ministry; and the Administration of UCLM.
Games for the parents were sponsored by Ms. Zeus Abella, College of Nursing alumna, and Mr. Zuryl Abella, College of Nursing student, adding enjoyment and engagement to the celebration.
The gifts distributed to the children were donated through the collective generosity of UCLM students, faculty, staff, and alumni, bringing joy, hope, and smiles to the young beneficiaries during the holiday season.
The program hosted by NSA student Cadet Daleon, who ensured the smooth flow of activities and added energy to the event.
This meaningful activity highlights UCLM’s continuing dedication to uplifting communities and extending heartfelt service to those in need.

UCLM CARES, in collaboration with Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and the Barangay Opao Health Center, successfully conducted a Bloodletting Activity aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation.
The activity primarily targeted UCLM ROTC students as blood donors and was also opened to other private individuals who willingly participated in the cause. In support of the donors, Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay generously provided food and refreshments to ensure the well-being and comfort of all blood donors after the procedure.
This initiative reflects UCLM CARES’ continued commitment to community health, humanitarian service, and collaborative efforts that help save lives through voluntary blood donation.
