Good news at Bad news sa mga MananAKAI.

Ang Good news, ayon sa DOTr magiging 24 hours na ang libreng sakay sa EDSA Carousel bus mula sa ika-15 hanggang 31 ng Disemyembre ngayong taon.

Samantala, ang Bad news ay maaring maging huling beses na ito magiging libre, dahil ayon sa DOTr walang nakalaang budget para dito sa susunod na taon.

Kaya sulitin na ang libreng sakay at maghanda na mas maghigpit pa ng sinturon sa pagpasok ng susunod na taon mga Ka-AKAI.

AKAI or Abante Komyuters, Adhikain Isaboses is a non-profit sectoral organization composed of Filipino commuters who are bounded by their collective struggles. This organization will provide a significant commuter representation that will address the concerns about the dreadful Philippine public transportation. It seeks to ease the daily struggles of the transporting public. First by providing alternative solutions that would improve the quality of public transportation in the country. Secondly, by voicing out the concerns of the commuters to the government. Lastly, laying out programs that would benefit the riding public.

The said organization also aims to safeguard and promote the rights and welfare of Filipino commuters. To reaffirm the importance to reverse the current challenges and lack of commuter-friendly features of the different Philippine public transportations system.
