The Commission on Elections (COMELEC), through its Vulnerable Sectors Office (VSO), joins in the celebration of Grandparents' Week, recognizing and honoring our lolos and lolas for the important role that they play in society.
As we prepare for the 02 November 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, we encourage our lolos and lolas to continue making their voices heard. Their votes remain a powerful guide in choosing leaders who will serve our barangays with integrity and genuine care for the community.
We also remind everyone that the voter registration is ongoing! We encourage eligible voters, especially our lolos and lolas, to register or update their registration records at their local COMELEC office until 18 May 2026, from 8AM to 5PM. You may also register at the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) or Satellite Registration sites. Take part in the upcoming elections!

The COMELEC VSOโs three-day voter education and outreach activities formally began in Digos City with a session for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the BJMP Digos City District Jail. The activity focused on PDLsโ voting rights, voter registration procedures, and COMELEC initiatives such as Special Polling Places and escorted voting, aimed at ensuring an accessible and inclusive electoral process.
The activity continued in Talaingod, Davao del Norte, where the team engaged Indigenous Peoples members of the Ata Manobo through a community-based voter education activity, and was warmly welcomed with traditional dances and music. During the session, Chairman George Erwin M. Garcia underscored the principle of equality in suffrage, saying, โWhatever the status of a Filipino in our country, whether you live in the lowlands or belong to an indigenous community, we all share the same right when it comes to voting.โ He further stressed the importance of electoral participation, adding, โWe must participate in elections and show that the voice of democracy resides in every individual.โ Participants were briefed on voter registration and the electoral processes in Accessible Voting Centers (AVCs) and Separate Polling Places (SPPs).
The final leg of the activities was held in the 2nd District of Davao City, focusing on Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities. The session emphasized voter registration requirements and voting procedures in Accessible Polling Places (APPs), Priority Polling Places (PPPs), and Satellite-Priority Polling Places (S-PPPs), designed to ensure a more inclusive voting experience.
Overall, the three-day voter education and outreach activities demonstrated strong collaboration among COMELEC VSO, field offices, and partner agencies, reaffirming COMELECโs commitment to empowering vulnerable sectors and promoting accessible, inclusive, and participatory elections.

The COMELEC Vulnerable Sectors Office will be at the PH Disability Expo on December 2, 2025 (Tuesday), 10:00 AMโ5:00 PM, at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

Planning to register as a voter or transfer registration but can't go the nearest local COMELEC office?
Special Register Anywhere Anytime Program (SRAP) will also be available at the Expo.
Applications that will be accepted:
1. New Registration;
2. Transfer of Registration Record;
3. Transfer from Post to Local/Reinstatement from Post to Local;
4. Correction of entries/Change of Status/Reversion to Maiden Name; and
5. Reactivation.
General Requirement: Valid government-issued ID.
Note:
Barangay Identification/Certification, Community Tax Certificates (Cedula), Employee/Company ID, and PNP Clearance shall NOT be accepted for purposes of registration.
