The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Manila III Chapter invites its member-lawyers to volunteer for the Lawyer of the Day Initiative (LODI)—a nationwide program institutionalizing pro bono legal services to make legal aid more accessible to underserved individuals and communities.

The IBP Manila III Chapter welcomed its new lawyers at the Testimonial Dinner held on May 30, 2026 at the Winford Hotel Manila.

The gathering recognized the accomplishments of the newly admitted lawyers and celebrated the beginning of their professional journey in the practice of law. Surrounded by fellow members of the Chapter, the evening was marked by camaraderie, inspiration, and a shared commitment to the ideals of the legal profession.

The IBP Manila III, through its Chapter Officers, Atty. Maribeth Pilimpinas, Atty. Lex Tabilog, Atty. Florette Biteng, and Atty. Marilou Chan, took part in the Bench and Bar Dialogue for the IBP Greater Manila Region on May 20, 2026, at the IBP Tower in Ortigas, Pasig City. The event brought together members of the Bench and the Bar in a meaningful exchange of ideas and recommendations aimed at improving court processes, strengthening professional relations, and advancing judicial reforms.

Through open and constructive discussions on matters affecting the administration of justice, the dialogue highlighted the importance of collaboration between judges and lawyers in promoting a more efficient, accessible, and responsive legal system.

The IBP Manila III, through its Gender & Development Committee chaired by Atty. Trisha Mae A. Marcelo, conducted a lecture on Republic Act No. 7610 on May 9, 2026, at the Manila Police District as part of its continuing initiative to promote legal awareness, child protection, and community empowerment through accessible legal education.

The activity was attended by police investigators from various stations in Manila City, together with the parents and guardians of the participants of “Empowering the Brave II,” a taekwondo program for youth leaders and children in need of guidance, and support.
