The Board of Claims (BOC) conducted an orientation on the Victims Compensation Program under Republic Act No. 7309 for social workers from the Marillac Hills – National Training School for Girls (MH-NTSG), headed by Chief Eva N. Villegas, and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office, headed by Chief Maria Aquiliza M. Ongleo, on 13 May 2026.
The activity was attended by BOC officials SASP Jovyanne E. Santamaria, Chief for Operations, and SASP Anna Noreen T. Devanadera, Chief for Administration, who provided a comprehensive discussion on the application process, documentary requirements, and benefits available to qualified victims under the Victims Compensation Program.
The orientation served as a valuable platform for dialogue and collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment of the BOC and DSWD in ensuring that social workers efficiently assist the victims and that beneficiaries receive the compensation.
