𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝐌𝐓𝐈𝐏𝐂 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Manila Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (MTIPC), during its 4th Meeting held on May 28, 2026, officially adopted MTIPC Resolution No. 1, Series of 2026 entitled: “𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐨. 𝟖𝟓𝟏 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟒 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.”

The resolution seeks to recommend the amendment of Presidential Decree No. 851 to allow employees to receive their 13th-month pay earlier, giving workers more time to prepare for and maximize the holiday season.

The Council also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting industrial peace, strengthening social dialogue, and advancing policies that support both workers and employers in the City of Manila.

The Education Industry Tripartite Council - National Capital Region (EITC-NCR) successfully signed and adopted EITC-NCR Resolution No. 1, Series of 2026 during its 3rd Bi-Monthly Meeting held at Jose Rizal University, 80 Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

The resolution entitled: “𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝), 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃), 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀) 𝐓𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐄𝐈𝐓𝐂) 𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲-𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫” highlights the Council’s commitment to strengthening tripartite participation and ensuring that stakeholders in the education sector are actively involved in policy-making and consultation processes.

Also discussed during the meeting were the Membership Strengthening Strategy and the Proposed Basic Occupational Safety and Health for Safety Officer 2 (SO2) Training for EITC Members.

The successful adoption of the resolution marks a significant milestone in advancing collaboration among government, labor, and management representatives in the education sector.

LOOK: DOLE-NCR Regional Director Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol administered the oath of office to Ms. Ma. Angelica D. Liwanag, newly appointed Administrative Officer V (Budget Officer III) of the Internal Management Services Division (IMSD), earlier today, May 25, 2026.

Assistant Regional Director Atty. Jude Thomas P. Trayvilla and IMSD OIC-Chief Administrative Officer Tricia Marie T. Siochi witnessed the activity.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬: The DOLE-NCR Manila Field Office conducted an orientation and facilitated the contract signing for 24 beneficiaries under the Government Internship Program (GIP) at the Manila Field Office Conference Room.

Labor and Employment Officer and GIP Focal Person Ms. Maria Arcelie Borromeo discussed the program’s legal bases, objectives, and payment process. She also provided an overview of General Labor Standards (GLS) to equip the beneficiaries with essential knowledge on workplace rights and responsibilities.

The beneficiaries will be assigned to various partner agencies and local offices, including the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB), the 6th District Office of Manila, and Barangay 480 in Sampaloc, Manila.
