Ngayong araw, September 12, ipinagdiriwang ng Film Development Council of the Philippines ang ika-103 na anibersaryo ng Philippine cinema bilang pagpupugay sa unang pagpapalabas ng โ€œDalagang Bukidโ€ ni Jose Nepomuceno, ang kauna-unahang pelikulang ipinalabas sa Pilipinas na mula sa direksyon at produksyon ng isang Pilipino.

Patuloy na ipagdiriwang at kikilanin ng FDCP ang lahat ng mga natatanging ambag ng mga bumubuo sa industriya ng Pelikulang Pilipinoโ€”sa likod at harap ng mga kameraโ€”ngayong ikalawang-taon ng Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM).

Mga ka-pelikula, sabay-sabay nating suportahan ang lahat ng mga programa at palabas ngayong Setyembre.

This is it, folks! We will officially begin the celebration of the second Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM) in an OPENING CEREMONY on September 2, at 6 PM at Cinema 6, Ayala Malls TriNoma in Quezon City.

We are all set to kick-off this month-long celebration with a tribute to the new National Artists for Film and Broadcast featuring film scholar Dr. Nicanor Tiongson, filmmaker Mr. Dik Trofeo, and filmmaker Mr. Teddy Co followed by the screening of the newly restored film "The Moises Padilla Story" directed by National Artist Gerardo de Leon. The event will be hosted by Ms. Dianne Medina.

There will also be a Cinema Books Expo in cooperation with DLSU Publishing House, National Artist Ricky Lee, Mr. Doy del Mundo, Mr. Nick Deocampo, Mr. Nestor Cuartero, Anvil Publishing Inc., & Artbooks.ph.

CALLING ALL FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL WORKERS. The pre-registration for the Safety and Health Officers Training Seminar (SHOTS) for Safety Officers (SO) 1 is NOW OPEN.

In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment - DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), the FDCP Safe Filming will have its 2nd batch of SHOTS from July 19 to 20.

The SHOTS is a Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training hosted by FDCP Safe Filming and OSHC to train more Safety Officers specific to the film and audiovisual industry.

LETโ€™S AIM FOR A HEALTHIER PHILIPPINES! ๐Ÿ“ฝ๐Ÿ™Œ

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the Department of Health (Philippines) partnered with six filmmakers from different parts of the Philippines to produce new short films that promote and create awareness about the Health Promotion Bureauโ€™s 7 Healthy Habits Campaign.

These short films will be premiering at the Healthy Pilipinas Short Film Festival and will be screened FOR FREE onsite at Gateway Cineplex on June 25, and online via Zoom from June 25 to 26.
