The Coast Guard Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (CGRBAS) conducted a Social Media Training for personnel on 07 May 2026 to enhance skills in managing client inquiries on official social media platforms.

The training was facilitated by Lieutenant Junior Grade Lara Jade L Ogatis PCG of the Coast Guard Public Affairs Service.

The training covered professional communication, response handling, client concern management, social media etiquette, and data privacy standards.

The Coast Guard Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (CGRBAS) successfully conducted a Pre-Retirement Seminar on 05 May 2026 via an online platform for all Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) units.

The activity was undertaken to enhance the knowledge and awareness of active personnel, as well as to provide comprehensive guidance to administrative personnel responsible for handling retirement-related processes. The seminar covered the following key topics: Overview of CGRBAS; Governing Laws on PCG Retirement; Retirement, Separation, and Posthumous Processes; Computation of Retirement and Separation Benefits; Transfer and Processing of Monthly Pension; Yearly Verification of Pensioners; and the Transition Assistance Program.

This initiative forms part of the Service’s continuing efforts to ensure that all concerned personnel are properly informed of existing policies, procedures, and benefits, thereby promoting efficiency and preparedness in the administration of retirement matters.

𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has officially partnered with SKECHERS Philippines to provide high-quality footwear that benefits all PCG personnel, retirees, as well as their spouses and dependents, from April 1 to July 31, 2026.

PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L. Gavan PCG, highlighted that this partnership strengthens collaboration with the private sector by offering more options and greater flexibility in sourcing high-quality and readily accessible footwear, while maintaining adherence to established standards for Coast Guardians and their families.

Through the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), qualified beneficiaries may avail of a 10% discount, capped at PHP 1,000 per transaction and not exceeding PHP 10,000 per receipt, upon presentation of a valid PCG identification card at the time of purchase.
