PNP STATEMENT ON PUBLIC SAFETY DURING THE THREE-DAY PEACEFUL ASSEMBLIES

As the country prepares for the three-day national assemblies starting November 16, the Philippine National Police assures the public that your safety and peace of mind remain our top priority.

The entire PNP has been on full alert since 5:00 PM yesterday, November 14, ensuring our units are fully staffed, fully equipped, and fully ready. Initial deployment begins today, with full forces on the ground by the start of the activities. Police personnel are strategically positioned across Metro Manila, supported by units nationwide to keep all key areas secure.

With the expected influx of people, we have activated a comprehensive security plan that covers ground operations, traffic management, intelligence monitoring, emergency response, and maritime patrols. All teams are ready to move and respond as needed.

To every participant, commuter, and resident: the PNP is prepared. Our coordination with partner agencies is tight, and our police officers are committed to keeping these gatherings peaceful, orderly, and safe for everyone.

We fully respect the public’s right to peaceful assembly. In return, we ask everyone to observe safety reminders, cooperate with our officers on the ground, and help keep the environment calm and orderly.

PNP Good Deeds

On September 20, 2023, at about 07:30 AM, PLT AREVALO AND PLT ECHANO, ITMS NAPCOs deployed at Malate Police Station while on their way to the Police Station found a pouch containing Identification Cards and receipt of a Nigerian student of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus. After calling the contact number printed on his ID, the Police Office returned the pouch to the owner infront of their apartment at Taft ave, Malate, Manila.

On September 1, 2023, at about 11:00 AM, ITMS NAPCOs deployed at Malate Police Station while conducting mobile patrol came accross a senior citizen with an injury who is seemingly waiting for a ride home. Upon dialog with him, Police Officers on board learned that his address is within their patrol beat thus, provided him LIBRENG SAKAY to to reach his house at Lemery st., Malate, Manila. Said Senior Citizen was brought to his home safe and sound.
