Last night, we honored once again The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers 2026 at the home of the TOPS Program which started it all. Note that their initiatives are all signals/CEIS related:

Ltc Rommel Geli PN(M) - with projects on situational awareness thru allies support

Ssgt Joebelle Serdinio (SC)PA whose passion in radio communications served not only the military operations but also saving lives and communities as early warning system prior dangerous environmental disturbances…

Ssgt John Darren Noche PAF, a self-taught programmer who innovated safety related innovations.

Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos continue to acknowledge the partnership with Rotary Club Makati Metro who initiated the program in 1994 and later absorbed in the Outstanding Filipinos award in 1999.

There is something noticeable in this year’s batch of Metrobank Outstanding Filipino awardees…

Seven out of ten awardees are into ICT. Their advocacies are either Technical Innovation, Digitization, Science and Engineering…

I feel proud hearing from one of them, PLTC ROBERT MANSUETO of Antique Police Provincial Office, saying he was encouraged when my story was shared to them as an example during the Metrobank’s infodrive. Among his banner project is the Traffic Safety Mgt.
System…

Dr SHEILA MARIE M AMIGO of Zamboanga Sibugay - used her engineering background in transforming physics education inti an entertaining and experience-based learning, she aptly called DULA. Forgot what the acronym meant but the word in visaya means “PLAY” which represents exactly how she made learning a seemingly unattractive subject matter into an interesting and exciting topic. Somewhat like how we did Cyber Monopoly for cyber awareness gamification…

DR JEFFERSON A HORA is a catalyst of Physics/Engineering innovation in Iligan
/MSU, bringing the micro-conductor industry available right in the heart of Mindanao.

Dr CECILIA O BUCAYONG, a physics teacher inventing a 3D Vector apparatus serving as an instructional tool which rapidly increased the learning absorption of her students by helping them visualize complex spatial physics concepts.

LTC ROMMEL GELI PN(M) introduced and enhanced the ability of the Maritime Surveillance System for Situational awareness in Palawan employing various ICT innovations to observe, collect and analyze maritime activities in his area of responsibility in Palawan.

PFC John Darren Noche PAF worked on various information systems focused on safety including Armory Mgt. System.

And Army SSgt Joebelle O Cerdinio (SC)PA who introduced Unified Radio Communication from linking stations serving as a help and emergency broadcast system and lifeline for communities.

Together with the three other equally deserving teacher and police awardees, the common denominator is their passion to help fellow Filipinos…

Congratulations to the 2026 for serving

1 more to complete Spartan trifecta…

10k Super and 5k Sprint done... Kahit bumabaha...Kahit libre magpa transfer schedule, Kahit kulang sa training...

A month ago I thought hindi ako makapag race dito sa Spartan Agoo, La Union because of attendance to a symposium on Short range air defense in Guam... so I relaxed my training 😅..

Then less than a week before departure, our tickets were purchased and found out that I can still do the race... so ayun, I feel less prepared than the 5K Spartan Sprint…

To God be the glory... He gifted me with the strength physically and mentally to finish the race safely...
