Scholastican Political Scientist Achiever Series
Political Science and International Relations Batch 2019 graduate, Ms. Eulyssa Joy S. Emasa was one of only fifty student delegates at the Diplomatic League Global Summit 2019 (DLGS2019) organized by the D-League in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of Strategic Communication and Research (OSCR) and the Philippine Embassy in New Zealand held last May 29-31, 2019 at the Bulwagang Apolinario, Department of Foreign Affairs Main Office.

Scholastican Political Scientist Achiever Series
Ms. Patricia Reinares, Political Science with Specialization in International Relations Batch 2019 graduate, presented her thesis entitled ““The Role of Intergovernmental Organizations in Philippine Peace Process: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Involvement in Government of the Philippines and Bangsamoro Negotiation” at the IAPSS World Congress 2019 held at the Universidad Complputense de Mardid in Madrid, Spain last May 20-25, 2019.
The research congress was organized by the premier Political Science organization, International Association of Political Science Students (IAPSS) with the theme “Overcoming Injustice”. The Congress consisted of a variety of lectures, workshops, expert panels, and student panels promoting academic excellence in political science research and teaching, as well as individual exchange among a very international audience.
Ms. Reinares, representing St. Scholastica’s College, was the only delegate from an Asian college/university.

Throwback: Scholastican Political Scientist Achiever
The Department of Social Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences congratulates Political Science and International Relations Batch 2019 graduate Ms. Danielle Mary de Guzman whose thesis entitled “A Historical Discussion of China’s Military Expansion According to Structural Realism” has met the academic criteria of the Political Studies Association and was invited to present her paper and serve as panelist at the Political Studies Association Undergraduate Conference 2019. The international conference took place last April 9, 2019 at Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.
Ms. De Guzman’s thesis was the only entry from an Asian college/university.
